Because of this, all doubts will not give rise to a single conceptual thought, and similar situations such as liking oneself to be happy and the enemy to be defeated will not be universally present. Even if one person dies, all the worms will survive, so what characteristics distinguish them? For many different bodies, what are the differences and appearances of the mind? When asked these questions, due to the lack of identifiable characteristics, unable to recall, understand, and express, one will fall into a state of non-birth and feel bewildered. Without the turmoil of conceptual thoughts, awareness is clear and lucid. Without rejection, establishment, change, and fabrication, it operates naturally. At that time, the instructions on the non-duality of the ground's self-nature are revealed with adornments, scriptural authority, and reasoning that are in accordance with one's mind, tolerable, and reasonable. The third part includes: examining the place of arising, examining the manner of arising, examining the one who arises, and revealing the self-nature of the Dharmakaya. The first part is: from "After that..." to "parents." The so-called mind is that knowing, vivid, and active thing that experiences happiness and suffering, experiences objects, and knows. This unconstrained mind, and the existing things, from which material aspect do they arise? It is impossible to arise from non-existent things, just as a rabbit's horn cannot grow. However, if one thinks that it can only arise from existing things, then from which element of the external four elements, and when did it arise? Or examine whether it arises from the minds of the parents of other beings. Even if one does not remember, one thinks that it must exist. If the mind has a cause, then it is a conditioned phenomenon, impermanent, and therefore it will inevitably perish. If that is the case, then there is no distinction between good and evil in karma. If one thinks that there is no cause, then it will be like a flower in the sky, because without a cause, the result cannot exist. If one thinks that the mind arises from itself, then if it is self-born, there is no need for arising. Or, if one thinks that conceptual thoughts arise from the mind, then like fire and sparks, the place of arising and the one who arises must exist simultaneously. If it exists, it will become an object of focus, because the cause is its own cause. Now, if direct conceptual thoughts arise outwardly, wisdom will decompose the object into indivisible particles; if it arises inwardly, it will decompose the five aggregates, thus seeing that the place of arising is nowhere to be found. If one thinks that the mind arises from the causes and conditions of parents, then karma and its maturation are unreasonable, and it will perish and disappear. These are also mentioned in the Root Wisdom Treatise: Not from self, not from

It does not arise from others, it does not arise from both, nor does it arise without a cause. For any and all things, there is never any arising. Thus it is said. Jowo Je (Venerable Atiśa) said: Things do not arise from themselves, nor from others and both, nor from no cause, therefore, the essence is without inherent existence. Thus and so on. Second, what exists does not arise because it is already something that exists. What does not exist does not arise, like the son of a barren woman. Both and neither are impossible to arise because they are mutually contradictory, incompatible dharmas. Other than these ways of arising, it is impossible to know. Furthermore, in the Seventy Stanzas on Emptiness it says: Because it exists, what exists does not arise; because it does not exist, what does not exist does not arise; because the dharmas are incompatible, what exists and does not exist does not arise; because there is no arising, there is no abiding or ceasing. Thus it is said. In the Tantra of the Realization of Kurukulle it says: If what exists were to arise, then what has already arisen would arise again. If what does not exist were to arise, then the son of a barren woman would also arise. Thus it is said. Third, for example... (omitted content) put in between. If one still thinks that mind arises, then what is the nature of the arising one itself? If one examines, sometimes it is like the eye, seen as a knower of objects, then whether the object and mind meet or not, it is eliminated because it cannot be seen. Sometimes it is understood as a self-knowing, self-illuminating lamp, then in a single moment, the knowable and the knower are both unreasonable, so it is eliminated. Sometimes it is seen as something that moves, like the wind. Then, who knows the movement of the mind? It has already been said that one cannot know oneself, and the previous and subsequent cognitions cannot know it, because it is other. When there is a knowable, there is no knower, and when there is a knower, there is no knowable. Does it come with companions or without companions? If it is the former, then if one investigates what that is, one will see that there are eight consciousnesses and fifty-one mental factors, etc. In that case, it will not be encompassed by the continuum of one person. Sometimes it is seen as without companions, then for it, are there traces of the three aspects of place, meaning, and body, or not? If one thinks there are traces, then if that is a companion, then the mind must have a non-existent corner, how does that exist? Examine it. If there is still an arising one as a trace, then does it exist in things or in non-things? If it exists in things, then the colors are white, yellow, red, green, blue, black, variegated, and the form is...
