This principle is stated in the Abhidharmakosha, and in the Golden Garland it says: "Indigo white yellow thin old, Holding five greens, Sky water earth and fire, The arising of the five winds naturally appears." Thus it is. That is also the bardo of self-nature, which is the state of being solely the cause of afflictive emotions and samsara. After determining it, one obtains mastery over all appearances that are known. As the "Sun and Moon Conjunction Sutra" says: "The elements, aggregates, and sources, The faculties, objects, and consciousnesses, How they abide, determine it. The yogi who knows these, Obtains mastery over all appearances." Furthermore, those elements and sources are also mentioned in the Longchen Rabjam Tantra: "The second, the bardo of self-nature, This body of one span, square, The elements, aggregates, and sources, The faculties, objects, and object-holders, Afflictions, how they abide, determine it. The yogi who knows these, Can master all appearances. Elements have two aspects, That which is encompassed by objects is the outer element, That which is encompassed by mind is the inner element. Those aspects of the elements also, Holding all objects is delusion. Aggregates with and without concepts, Gather all things into one, This aggregate without concepts, Samadhi, a single gathering, is its nature. Sources are the two, grasper and grasped, The grasped sources are twelve, The grasping sources are twelve. Faculties are the part that grasps form, The part that grasps wisdom is the faculty. Objects have the object of things, And the two objects without things. All object-holders are completely pure, What is called pure is the exhaustion of dharma. Afflictions are six, Ignorance, delusion, and hatred, Pride, desire, and jealousy." Thus it is. And the "Sun and Moon Conjunction Sutra" says: "That itself is clearly expanded and perfected." All of that is the sole cause of samsara, therefore, in this bardo of self-nature, Does the cause of nirvana abide? Or is it the same cause as those that abide above? Or is it completely non-existent? I am doubtful about this, so please dispel it. When thus asked, the Teacher replied: "O Great Sage, listen! For all sentient beings in the bardo abiding in self-nature, all that is encompassed by the body, The cause of nirvana is the same as all the Buddhas of the three times, And abides without any difference."

Moreover, the very nature of the bodies, and wisdom, and light, and bindu, and awareness, abide in their own face. As it is said, due to the circumstances of abiding, from the wisdom of... to, it appears as the nature of discriminating thought. The manner of these, in detail, with the two ornaments and the precious casket connected above, the empowerment and transmission are complete. Secondly, in particular... to, there is a body. Furthermore, in the realms of gods and humans, the four continents, etc., it is relative, not to be understood as each being a single entity. In the establishment of the world: Some people in Jambudvipa are four and a half spans (approximately 37.5 cm), some are four cubits (approximately 1.2 meters). The people of Eastern Videha are eight cubits (approximately 2.4 meters). The people of Western Godaniya are sixteen cubits (approximately 4.8 meters). The people of Northern Kuru are thirty-two cubits (approximately 9.6 meters). The gods of the Four Great Kings are one-quarter of a yojana. The gods of the Thirty-three are one yojana in breadth. The gods of the Free from Strife are three-quarters of a yojana. These are examples. Furthermore, in the Extensive Play Sutra: The light body, the flesh body, and the mind-made body, these are divided into two, samsara and nirvana. And so on. By this, it is indicated that there are also five or seven forms of the formed body. Speech is, at the time of desire... etc., up to 'there is'. Mind is, from desire, becoming thinner. Furthermore, if we speak in terms of subtraction, in the formless realm, the mind of single-pointed shamatha relies on the aggregates of the name-body; the mind of form realm dhyana relies on the light body; the mind of the desire realm with conceptualization relies on the coarse mind. In the two higher realms, there is no coarse outer clarity, no channels, winds, or bindus, only the inner clarity of awareness, so conceptualization does not arise. Furthermore, in the formless realm, there is no object of focus; the form realm has a coarser object of knowledge; it is also not like the desire realm. Because the three realms rely on the three minds, there are also differences. Therefore, speech is also the reason for being without coarseness. The place is, from the desire realm... etc., to, 'mostly'. As shown: the gods of dhyana have the realm of clear light; the formless realm has no realm, if there is, it is only the realm of non-conceptual mind, but the difference of the desire realm is vast, because it arises from the common preliminary practices, so it is not mentioned here. However, the realm is the dharmadhatu, although there is no difference, the power of grasping...
