. It means: Among the three bardos of birth, death, and dharmata, the awareness that arises between birth and death is considered the bardo of birth. To be familiar with the decisive points of the bardo of self-nature. Furthermore, in the Yeshe Tingdzog it says: "The bardo of self and other disputes is: (If the text does not have verbal obstacles, it will not gain benefits from other vehicles, like a defeated minister on the battlefield.)" This refers to: To this, all timely rebuttals and views are determined by argumentative proofs, thereby generating increasing merit. Fourth is the boundary: From the six realms... the boundary is determined. Furthermore, in the Root Tantra of the All-Encompassing King it says: The boundary, the bardo of birth, is: From birth until being struck by the cause of death, illness. The bardo of dying is from being afflicted with illness until the inner breath ceases. The bardo of dharmata is from the cessation of breath until the spontaneous appearance of phenomena. The boundary of the bardo of existence is: From the complete dissolution of spontaneously arising phenomena until entering the womb. Incidentally, it is easy to understand. Fifth is the determination of number: Sixth is the order... divided into two. Therefore, the order of all tantras is spoken of in relation. Seventh is the actual demonstration of the appearance or manifestation of the six bardos... like being different. In the Great Union of Appearance and Existence Tantra it says: Alas, alas ho! Those who deviate from the true meaning, by clinging to conceptual thought as self, stubbornly tie knots in the sky, step on their own heads with their feet, bind their own necks and hands, lose their own jewels, extinguish their own lamps, obscure their own sun and moon, the basis of both Buddhas and sentient beings, the essence of common equality, not grasping their own ground, this is the response of the three. Explaining the basis of manifestation or the basis of delusion, and thus clinging to existence where there is none, thereby generating the six realms of beings and so on. With the collection of conceptual thoughts clinging to the untrue as true, everything ripens into the fruit of delusion. Furthermore, in the Garland of Pearls it says: Clinging to what is not that as that, the outer and inner realms of container and contents revolve. Furthermore, in the Essence Drop it says: Clinging to what is not as dharma, that ripens into the fruit of delusion. Furthermore, the appearance of uncertainty is also, in the Wisdom Space it says: For example, the appearance of delusion is, the basis of both pure and impure, for feces and so on, birds and dogs see it as food, people see it as impure, therefore appearance is not

For certainty, there is actually no acceptance or rejection. As it says in "The Essence of View": Like purity and impurity, for anything such as excrement, birds and dogs see it as food, therefore there is no acceptance or rejection. Thus it is said. In "Ornament of the Middle Way" it says: Because in reality it is neither one nor many. Thus it is said. Samaya! In general, there is. From the two truths it says: One thing, but different minds, what is seen is that the matter is not accomplished. Thus it is said. And in "All Clear" it says: For the unobstructed circle of knowable objects, the appearance of this thing itself, hell beings see it as hot and cold, hungry ghosts see three appearances, the outer and inner common appearances. Outer food and drink are pus and blood, clothes are like thorns. One appears as food, protected by protectors, one has no protection, and eating it is poisonous. Likewise, hungry ghosts see three appearances, animals see two appearances, the gathering place sees darkness, the scattered place sees upward and downward appearances. Humans see the common appearance, each's own homeland, people, family, neighbors, etc. Asuras see weapons, gods see precious nectar, it is the appearance of mind and the habits of attachment. Just like it is said. Those also from being to not appearing, in "All Clear" it says: Therefore the bardo of self-nature is this very confused appearance of the present. Thus it is said. And from non-existence to appearance, like the ten examples of illusion: The collection of illusions that appear does not exist, sounds, echoes, mirages, images, and eye defects, water moons, emanations, etc., from being to not appearing, from non-existence to appearing. Thus it is said in the root tantras of body, speech, and mind, it is inconceivable. Samaya! The first bardo, the bardo of birth and place, etc. Behavior is: binding oneself, the complete and perfect Dharma of the Buddha, the essence of bodhicitta is secret within oneself. From the "Illusion Sutra": Emaho, in the Tathagatagarbha, to showing various games for the sake of teaching. Thus it is said. And in "Heap of Jewels" it says: The bondage of self-grasping is the five afflictions, originally self-arisen in awareness, it is wisdom but does not show its face. Thus it is said. And in the "Nectar Manifestation Tantra" it says: The form aggregate manifests various forms, the feeling aggregate is the jewel-born, the perception aggregate is infinite appearance, the volition aggregate is meaningful accomplishment, the consciousness aggregate is immovable. Thus it is said. Those are also the basis of obscuration and the dharma of obscuration, therefore they also abide in the conventional truth of correctness and error.
