The essence of the Wisdom Self-Arisen Lamp, the great pure awareness, is like a king; the completely pure Dharmadhatu is the throne; the minister is the mind; the five senses together with their objects are like the populace; if the mind's delusions, the objects of the five senses, and all awarenesses are applied to ceasing when pure appearances are seen; from that itself it says: the king is seated on the throne; the minister is imprisoned; and the populace is forcefully subdued. Hold the Vajradhara well! The king is the self-aware pure Dharmakaya; the throne is the self-nature completely pure, appearing as the realm of space; in essence, it is the bindu of Dharmadhatu appearing as a place. And so on, then adding that thoughts are like thieves, etc. Thus it is said. Here, it refers to awareness that is unborn, without any grasping or cultivation, remaining in the bliss-space of the single bindu; if one intentionally rejects and grasps, and identifies this as this, then it has not transcended conceptual thought, therefore, without any effort or grasping, when the husk of the mind is shed, the clear-empty awareness, reaching its own state beyond expression and thought, this is the meditation of self-aware wisdom, without distinction between object and subject, one must understand. From the previous one it says: Awareness is unborn, rest in the state of non-cultivation! And it says: The essence, the nature of the Dharmakaya, rest in the state of non-appearance, without self-nature! Thoughts of mind and intellect, rest in the state of great self-clarity! Thus it says. Secondly, pointing out its distinction is: Nowadays, they say 'awareness is left as it is,' and merely take the clear-aware mind as the path, therefore the fault of the form realm arises; taking the non-conceptual Alaya as the path, therefore it is the formless realm; taking the thought of bliss-clarity as the path, therefore one wanders in the desire realm, therefore, one must cut off those superior wisdoms of other schools and point out the distinction, for although it appears, it is not seen 1; although it pervades all, it is not identified 2; it is not established in reality 3; it is not separated 4; it is not apparent 5; it is not made 6; it is not sought 7; it is not abandoned 8; it is not accomplished 9; it is not examined 10; it is not symbolized 11; it is not known 12; it is complete without being created by anyone 13; it is unborn 14; it is not realized 15; like this, one should repeat and rest in the state free from all elaboration, as it is said. From that itself it says: Rest in the state of unborn! Rest in the state of unspeakable, unthinkable! Without cessation.

Rest in the Dharmakaya! Therefore, resting in the unborn state, the city of bodily appearance is the mind of the desire realm; resting in the unspeakable and inconceivable state, half of the language that appears is the form realm; the unobstructed mind, the invisible formless realm mind, is distinguished in order not to deviate from the direction of practice. The key points of these are: for the formless realm, the root of non-thought and ignorance is purified by the ocean of spontaneous action (ming med 'gag med, nameless and unobstructed); for the form realm, attachment to the object (yid 'gyu med kyi, the mind does not move), is purified by the appearance of staring; for the coarse mind of the desire realm, distinguish between mind and awareness (rig pa skye med, awareness is unborn), and then purify it with the spontaneous action of awareness. (Again, in reverse) Again, because the unborn formless (rig pa cog bzhag, awareness spontaneous action) transcends the mind; the form realm of the unspeakable or immovable (snang ba cer bzhag, appearance staring); the unobstructed (rgya mtsho cog bzhag, ocean spontaneous action) transcends the chaotic mind of the desire realm. The key point of these is also that, for the attachment to the formless realm, the attachment of practicing with the thought that it is neither one-sided existence nor one-sided non-existence exists, and the bliss of the form realm's attachment to the object distinguishes the conceptual thoughts of the desire realm. Second, the merit of abiding in the spontaneous perfection of view and practice is to manifest one's own nature: the essence of one's own nature transcends the four: view, practice, conduct, and result; because the qualities of the basis of one's own nature are completely spontaneously accomplished, therefore, one cannot see by looking, because there is no object to see; one cannot see by meditating, because it contradicts the substance of wisdom; because the Dharma to be practiced is not established. Because it is separated from the object of practice, even if one strives to practice, one will be bound, therefore one should not practice; the Dharma nature of being enlightened from the beginning, there is no growth for one's own essence, therefore the result of obtaining will not appear in reverse, because of the order of these reasons, for the effort of view, practice, conduct, and result, without being disturbed by anything, it is the most supreme view of no seeing! The most supreme practice of no practice! The most supreme conduct of no conduct! The most supreme result of no accomplishment, proceeding in the nature of spontaneous accomplishment in oneself, meeting all of view, practice, conduct, and result is oneself, therefore going to seek elsewhere will not be found, but coming back to recognize oneself, one can find without searching.
