Therefore. Diligent practice with mental speculation and meditation, as well as diligent practice of the object of meditation and the meditator, as well as contrived, wishful meditation, etc., these are all diligent practices of the mind. Not realizing the meaning of the inconceivable. Thus it is. Second, in the means of how to take it, the oral instruction of manifesting wisdom through the door of abiding, the instruction of firmly establishing oneself in the three bodies through the door of samadhi, the union of the mother and child of clear light through the door of transporting into the expanse of view and conduct, the oral instruction of taking appearance and enjoyment as an aid to wisdom through the method of liberation, and the oral instruction of cutting off the demonic obstacles that arise in view, meditation, and conduct through the door of subjugation. First, here, the nature of wisdom has not become the object of mental speculation and meditation, so no matter how diligently one practices meditation, it is of no benefit, so not meditating is the only key. That is, on the equality of the nature of the great wisdom free from elaboration, where all appearances and minds are completely let go, the yogic awareness is also suddenly struck, which means that one actually arrives at the essence of wisdom. Therefore, one should strive for the means of abiding without meditation. In the profound perfection of wisdom, it is said: Thus, if the great mind is without substance, abiding without dwelling or thinking is yoga. If the yogi does not meditate on anything in the mind, it will be accomplished in accordance with the meaning by right view. Thus it is. Such a means of abiding has three types: brief, medium, and extensive. First, do not follow after the thoughts of the past, do not welcome the future, do not speculate on the present with the mind, abide in the very nature of the great bliss awareness of the expanse of the great wisdom free from elaboration, which is free from the four extremes and three sides, and which has been pointed out by the wisdom guru. This is called awareness (Tibetan: རིག་པ་ཅོག་བཞག །) abiding in the unborn, and also the thought of abiding in the nature of awareness, looking at its face and thinking of meditating in the nature, such co-emergent entanglements flow downwards, and all manifestations and dissipations in the external environment abide in their own place, and in the division of meditation, there is no movement of the mind and one abides (Tibetan: སྣང་བ་ཅེར་བཞག །). This is called, with the key of separating mind and wisdom, one does not even rely on the abiding of the eight consciousnesses and the single-pointed mind of the two graspers, and because of purity, the naked awareness of the mind-nature is empty and clear, free from the name of thought and grasping, and one abides, the mind name

It is said to abide in the absence of (Tibetan: རྒྱ་མཚོ་ཅོག་བཞག, Romanization: rgya mtsho cog bzhag, Sanskrit: Samudra sthita, Meaning: Abiding like the ocean). From the Tantra that cuts off the beginning and end of the cycle of existence, the essence of nectar of the union of appearance and existence: In the state of the unborn nature of awareness, (Tibetan: རིག་པ་ཅོག་བཞག, Romanization: rig pa cog bzhag, Sanskrit: Vidyā sthita, Meaning: Awareness abides). The mind abides in the state of immobility (Tibetan: སྣང་བ་ཅེར་བཞག, Romanization: snang ba cer bzhag, Sanskrit: Ābhāsa sthita, Meaning: Appearance abides). The mind abides in the state of namelessness and detachment (Tibetan: རྒྱ་མཚོ་ཅོག་བཞག, Romanization: rgya mtsho cog bzhag, Sanskrit: Samudra sthita, Meaning: Abiding like the ocean). If one gathers them by the method of abiding, they are gathered into these three. So it is said. The detailed explanation is: In general, the view is to abide like a mountain, the meditation is to abide like an ocean, the conduct is to abide like an appearance, and the result is to abide like an awareness, these are the four. The first is: As a means of view, to abide like a mountain, outwardly, the body does not move, to abide like a mountain, which is the seven dharmas, or the posture of the three kayas, not moving, so the body is straight, so the channels are straight, the channels are straight, so the winds are straight, so the bindus are straight and stable, so the mind that relies on the bindus is straight, so the power of wisdom dissolves into the ground, and it is clear from the nature of the self-purifying dharma, so it is profound to abide like a mountain. Also, when meditating by abiding in the awareness introduced by the lama, it does not move by the object of appearance and mind, and it also becomes to abide like a mountain in the part of abiding firmly. Also, from that itself: When looking from the top of the supreme, all the small mountains are seen. When looking at the great ocean, all the small waters are seen. Thus, by deciding with the view, like seeing a small mountain from the top of Mount Meru, the intention of all the lower vehicles is completely gathered, and by abiding in the state of one liberation of all knowledge, it is also said that the view is to abide like a mountain. From the Tantra that cuts off the beginning and end of the cycle of existence: Those who meditate on me, do not meditate, abide in the state of immobility. Thus, if one understands from the intention of the Middle Way, the cause and effect are inherently present, so the key points of the beginning and end are gathered there, and this abiding dissolves into the general outline of all four abidings of the scripture, so all the abidings abide in the unchanging state. Thus, it is enough to abide in these three here. The second, abiding like an ocean, etc., is the reverse order of gathering the meaning. The first: Outwardly, at the root of the eye, there are wisdom channels, like white silk threads, thin and intertwined, in the mandala of Mar Nas wisdom, in the great golden channel, the wisdom of awareness abides, from which the path arises and the eye that appears to the object opens and does not move, so the awareness of
