What is the consequence of that? It can be eliminated by mere doubt. Furthermore, if oneself or others wish to see the same kind, then, as it is said, "The nature of mind, which is not meaningful, appears as external objects," and as it is explained in Madhyamakālaṃkāra and others, and as it is said, "the Gandharva attendant," one obtains the blessing through questioning, and one must also be able to prove the special similar appearances that arise through sensation. What is the object of unobstructed movement, and is there anything else that can be determined? Furthermore, is the same kind a different continuum or not? If it is the former, then the measure that determines everything as a mind-appearance is harmful. If it is the latter, then it is the same mistake of not establishing a common basis. The root of all these key points is to understand that samsara and nirvana are not established outside of one's own appearance, but are established from the sole self-appearance. Furthermore, one should look at the appearance of being alive with certainty and the appearance of being dead without certainty from a single perspective. If one examines the reasons in detail, it is sufficient to elaborate. The size of the intermediate state being is, in terms of the two types of transference, large and small, the small one is like hell, where one dies again and again every seven days, remembering the previous cause of death and death itself, the previous imprints gradually fade, and the subsequent imprints gradually become clearer. The great transference is that the length of time is the taking of a body within seven days, twenty-one days, and forty-nine days. All births are miraculous births, and the way of karma, etc., is that the gross manifestation is of humans and animals, etc., and the subtle latent is life. Habit is mostly accustomed to whatever one was accustomed to before. Similarly, having accumulated merit before, having made offerings, having become accustomed to love, etc., one will meet helpful friends, pleasant places, utensils, etc., and feel satisfied. Those who have done evil deeds in the past will experience the opposite, so the benefits of virtuous deeds and the faults of evil deeds, etc., will also appear there. It belongs to the category of formless phenomena that rely on the four aggregates other than form. Then, knowing that one is in the intermediate state, one experiences unbearable suffering. In particular, one now wanders in all directions with the hope and doubt of whether one will obtain a rebirth. Then, there will also be preliminary signs of where one will take rebirth. Even if one has the destiny to be born in a womb, one sees that it is bad, so this is the reason why one must now cut off attachment to desirable things.

My body also has signs, such as the posture of the head, the size of the body, the light, the color, etc., just as mentioned before. There are also signs of birth in experience: if born in the desire realm, there is a feeling for the place; if born in the form realm, there is a feeling for the light; if born in the formless realm, there is joy and sorrow for the mind's dwelling in nothingness; if born miraculously, then for the place; if born from heat and moisture, then for the smell; if born from womb and egg, then there is attachment and hatred for the union of male and female. Among them, if born as male, then there is attachment to female and hatred to male; if born as female, then there is attachment to male and hatred to female. Like this, when attachment and hatred arise in these places of birth, they take birth at the same time as a slight fainting, using this as the cause of death. Furthermore, in a superior body, there are male and female horses; in the enjoyment of cattle, there are male and female cattle; in unpleasant sounds, there are fish or swans; in Jambudvipa, there appear phenomena such as male and female humans engaging in sexual intercourse. These are signs of preparing to enter the womb, so there are actions such as blocking the door, remembering and returning, transforming one's nature into an emanation, entering the womb, etc. After that, one sees one's own place, and in particular, if born as a god, one feels oneself on the top floor of a precious palace; if born as an asura, one feels oneself in the wheel of fighting fire, or in the middle of falling rain; for humans, according to the superior, medium, and inferior, one feels oneself in the noise of a crowd, or in the middle of a misty sky, or in a cold, weeping place. These thoughts are signs of having already entered the womb, so there is no freedom to move. For animals, one feels oneself in a cave or nest, or in the fog; for pretas, one feels oneself in a cave or crevice; for hell beings, one feels oneself in the center of a square iron house, etc. These appearances are signs of having completed birth, so one can know that there is no possibility of entering the womb, etc. In these places, birth also occurs as mentioned before, with countless beings wanting to enter gathering in the womb, and it is said that beings with karmic connections enter through the human anal passage. In particular, driven by attachment and hatred, they run, or are chased by hunting dogs, birds, beasts, etc., and develop a mind of refuge in joy and sorrow and hide, and due to such intentions, they immediately turn into the cause of death, and the moving winds of the intermediate state's mind-body subside, so there is also a slight order of self-appearance subsiding, and they take birth at the same time as the arising of increasing attainment from the clear light. From this arises the law of eight natures. Furthermore, if one is born as a human from this, then there are six elements.
