Sa-ags. By the arising of naked wisdom, one does not abide at the edge of subsequent wisdom. Moreover, in Rangshar it says: 'Thus, by thoroughly afflicting all the key points of the body and so on, one knows directly with awareness, from the guru's instructions.' So it is. Of these, the first is to explain the necessity through the door of combining example and meaning, and the second is to explain the manner of actually subduing the way of looking. Of the two, the first is that the general necessity of the way of looking is like this: for example, just as the assembly of deities, no matter how they exist inside a temple without a door, are not visible; and just as a lamp inside a vase is not seen unless the empty space of the mouth is fully opened; if the connection is not made with the key point of the door, then although wisdom is in the body, it does not fall directly into the key point. Because the nature of reality remains in conceptual thought, the common vehicle is ignorant of this key point, and therefore there is no opportunity to quickly attain Buddhahood. Moreover, in the secret cycle of Dzogchen, it is said that because the form body is obscured by the physical body and is not seen, there is no introduction, which means that the means of direct perception has not been realized. Moreover, in the Wisdom Equal to Space, it says: 'Without separating the obscuration of the womb, if one encounters a qualified condition, from realizing one's own mind as the Dharmakaya, the form body does not arise, obscured by the physical body, like the sun obscured by clouds.' So it is. In Nagarjuna's Commentary on the Mind, it says: 'Just as a lamp inside a vase is not visible to all outside, so too this realm of reality is not visible to all outside.' Thus it is taught, and it is said that there is nothing to see. Therefore, this key point of the door is very profound. In the Rabjam it says: 'The door is to look at the three bodies with the eye; when the distant lasso does not move, at this time rely on the three ways of looking. By knowing the way of looking with the eye, one enjoys the realm of reality. The door through which the mind arises is the two eyes; the root of the eye is like a ram's horn, and inside the root is the door through which wisdom arises. For example, if there is a temple without a door, the assembly of deities inside is not visible. Inside the citta of the body, the awareness-wisdom that abides there is not visible because the key point of the door is not known, and all phenomena become conceptual thought. Like the door of a temple or the light of a lamp inside a vase shining in the sky, the eye itself is the door through which wisdom arises. The key point is to look with the three ways of looking.' So it is. The second is to explain the manner of actually subduing the way of looking. With the eye of the Dharmakaya, the nature of reality, and wisdom,

The key to seeing the Dharmakaya, the key to the Sambhogakaya seeing the pure realms self-manifest through the eye of wisdom, the key to the Nirmanakaya seeing the nature of reality clearly from within through the eye of wisdom. Among these three, the first is: by turning both eyes equally upwards and looking in the manner of the crown of the head, the karmic imprints of samsara are eliminated downwards, cutting off the stream of rebirth in the lower realms. By restraining the space between the eyebrows, the mind is taken prisoner. By fixing the gaze on the sky, appearances are naturally enhanced, and there is the key to the unchanging nature of the wisdom of space. In order to see the appearance of the great wisdom of the ground of being, it is called looking at the ground. The second, the way of seeing of the Sambhogakaya is: looking with both eyes equally. The self-perfected appearance of its nature manifests the pure realms of the Sambhogakaya, so it has the key to mixing samsara and nirvana into one taste. These two, manifestation and enlightenment, are branches of the way of seeing of the Sambhogakaya. If there is no vajra posture and way of seeing, then looking like straightening an arrow to the right stops delusion and does not separate from the nature of reality. Looking to the left makes it easy to arise the wisdom of space. Pressing down slightly on the key to staying from the east is the supreme method of placing the mind on a stable foundation. The third, the way of seeing of the Nirmanakaya is to lower the gaze in order to guide sentient beings. It enjoys the appearance of all-pervading compassion, and the key to transforming samsara is to naturally abide in samadhi. Looking equally is the key to manifesting vipashyana. It is also said in the Extensive Sutra: "With the gaze like a lion, look at all the objects of delusion as one. With the gaze like an elephant, look at the two, space and wisdom, as one. With the gaze like a seated hermit, also grasp the measure of all appearances. Each way of seeing is in accordance with the posture." And, the certainty of these is also in the Clear Space Sutra: "Fix both eyes on the space between the eyebrows, open wide without changing." And, for the Sambhogakaya, in the same sutra: "The size of both eyes does not change, look and gaze to the right and left." And, for the Nirmanakaya, in the Extensive Sutra: "Lower the mind slightly and look at the sky, the realm of the Nirmanakaya will be seen." And, in the Secret Sound Tantra: "Lowering, turning, and overpowering, the ways of seeing are known as three." And, in the Sutra of Space Equality: Dharma
