Therefore, with diligence, one should abandon all the sacred teachings and not speak. If one speaks with what is not entirely true, one will fall into sin, and hundreds of thousands of red-hot irons will be applied to the tongue. Furthermore, those who do not trust the sacred teachings but rely on individuals should know that they are blessed by demons. The Cloud of Jewels Sutra says: All those who do not trust in that are ignorant ones blessed by demons. The mind of that one is fully embraced by the Buddhas. The Sutra says: The sky may turn into earth, or the earth may turn into sky, but what the Thus-Gone One has spoken will not change. Mount Meru may move from its place, or the sun and moon may fall to the plains, but what the Thus-Gone One has spoken will not change. In general, for any of the three, hearing, thinking, and meditating, all three universal valid cognitions are necessary. Nagarjuna says in the Precious Garland of the Middle Way: Whatever meditation does not contradict the sacred teachings and reasoning, and possesses the instructions of the guru, that meditation is worthy of being meditated upon. Also, the Great Explanatory Tantra, Vajra Mirror, says: Whatever is measured by the valid cognitions of the sacred teachings, reasoning, and instructions, the knowable will be comprehended. Also, the Minor Commentary says: This secret commentary, the Lamp of the Mind, is established by the sacred teachings, instructions, and reasoning. The third point is how to impress upon the heart the certainty that pervades the meaning of each sacred teaching. Among the meanings of the four sacred teachings, outer, inner, secret, and very secret, the first is that the outer Tripitaka and its commentaries are intended to cut off attachment to the two selves, the path, and the antidote. Moreover, mainly, the three, cause, effect, and essence, and the three doors of liberation, are established by reasoning, thereby revealing the meaning of suchness, nature, abiding lineage, and freedom from elaboration, and since it is one aspect of the sphere, the selflessness of hearers and solitary realizers is also an explanation of that lineage. Lord Maitreya says: Since the sphere of reality is without difference, lineages cannot be different. And it is to show that the three vehicles are one. The Nirvana Sutra says: In the past, in the direct perception of the Perfection of Wisdom, whatever I said that all phenomena are emptiness was said because it was drawn from children's manifest attachment to self, but the truth is the essence of the Thus-Gone One.

“It is the sole ultimate truth.” Furthermore, the *Avataṃsaka Sūtra* states, “Those who dwell equally in nature with me and all Buddhas, without abiding or taking, they become Tathāgatas.” And the *Heart Essence Sūtra* states, “The realm of beginningless time is the abode of all dharmas; because of this, all beings attain nirvāṇa.” Like how the Prajñāpāramitā Sūtra speaks of the mother of the four noble ones as the source. Moreover, the final teachings generally explain both lineages. Primarily, the nature-abiding lineage possessing qualities such as names, marks, bodies, wisdom, and virtues, although existing from the present, is not seen due to being obscured by the nine impure stains, which are to be abandoned by the paths of seeing and meditation. However, the result depends on the cause, and the cause performs the action of producing the result. The essence is the nature of nominal dharmas, and for reasons that cannot be sought, and these three reasons, and the valid scriptures seen directly by the Buddhas and noble ones, and the reasoning established by measuring with the valid cognition of inference by ordinary beings, these four are the means of correctly determining. The *Uttaratantra* states, “The body of the complete Buddha is an emanation, and because of the non-duality of suchness, and because there is lineage, all embodied beings constantly possess the essence of the Buddha.” Likewise, the element of lineage to be determined, the *Avataṃsaka Sūtra* states, “Form, feeling, perception, consciousness, and mind, countless Tathāgatas, they become great heroes.” And the *Nirvana Sutra* states, “Son of lineage, within the bodies of all sentient beings are the ten powers, the four fearlessnesses, the thirty-two marks, and the eighty minor marks.” Thus, because there are two lineages, the ultimate result of the two or three bodies of Dharma and Form are accomplished. The *Ratnāvalī* states, “The Form Body of the Buddhas is born from the accumulation of merit; the Dharma Body, in brief, is born from the accumulation of the king of wisdom.” This also ripens from the accumulation of merit, and the basis of separation exists within oneself. Maitreya says, “From these two lineages, it is desired to attain the three bodies of the Buddha; the first body is from the first, the latter two are from the second.”
