未造作之大身,无为胜过一切作为;本来无作,任运自然安住;不为显现所转,不为心识所作;法性安住虚空,即是显示其意;法身智慧,舍弃一切思虑;无有动摇,即是禅修之意;若不执著所缘之方,如海深处星辰显现;无执光明不灭,即是安住之方式。如是说。第三,开显显现任持之方便:于清净元素之基显现,明朗虚空之中,不作此是彼是之分别观察,不以清净解脱之坚定信念束缚,若显现,则于显现上,安住执著自解脱之方式;如前者所说:显现任持,乃是觉性之大方便;显现大者,乃是一切之根本。此教言虽是妥噶之时所用,然若用于脱噶,则清净显现外五光,内五智慧,称为五大元素和元素,五元素如佛陀之路般显现;五大即是母之显现中显明;莫散乱,于无执大之中安住;大密咒之五大智慧;以五大不动摇,安住于法界之中;金刚萨埵之觉性任运安住,显示一切法身之显现;清净智慧之显现,无论显现何物,秘密之安住方式,任持之方便之中;身之显现,不舍弃五元素,非是舍弃,安住于自之义中;法性广大,观为任持大显现;于大圆满中,不执著所修之事物。如是说。第四,觉性任持:眼睛稍稍按压,于眉间收摄之法界中,以明点如线相续囚禁之方便;于法界觉性之明点中,平等安住之时;本体空明,不可言说之本来清净之觉性,以四种智慧之力量庄严而生起之状态中,不作任何取舍、改造、造作,无有勤作而安住;彼处所说:觉性任持,乃是口诀;此乃秘密之要处;眼睛应当极度按压;彼亦应当观为无有分离;于两眼角生起法界,光明微细而缠绕生起;于彼处,本体如线相续般生起;微细、进入和动摇也;眼睛观为虚空之界;佛陀之身显现为原始明点;

The great body of non-fabrication, surpassing all actions by being unmade; From the beginning, unmade, self-arisen, naturally abiding; Not transformed by appearances, not fabricated by the mind; When the nature of reality abides in space, it is shown as the very intention; The wisdom of the Dharmakaya, abandoning all thoughts; If there is no movement, it is the intention of meditation; If one does not grasp the direction of the object, like stars appearing in the depths of the ocean; Unobstructed clarity without grasping; That is the way of abiding in intention. Thus it is said. Third, the method of showing the appearance as it is: In the clear space of the base appearance of pure elements, without analyzing and judging 'this is this,' and without binding it with the firm conviction of purification and liberation, if it appears, then on the appearance, the posture of self-liberation of grasping; As the former said: Holding appearances as they are is the great method of awareness; The great appearance is the basis of all. Although this scripture is used at the time of Trekchö, if applied to Tögal, the pure appearances are the five outer lights and the five inner wisdoms, called the five elements and great elements, the five elements appear like the path of the Buddha; The five great ones are clear in the appearance of the mother; Without distraction, abide in the great non-grasping; The five great wisdoms of the great secret mantra; Without moving by the five great ones, abide in the space; The awareness of Vajrasattva naturally abides, showing all the appearances of the Dharmakaya; The appearance of pure wisdom, whatever appears; The secret way of abiding, in the state of the method of holding as it is; The appearance of the body, without abandoning the five elements; It is not abandoning, abide in its own meaning; The vast expanse of Dharmata, regard it as a great appearance of holding as it is; In the Great Perfection, do not fixate on what is to be meditated upon. Thus it is said. Fourth, the holding of awareness as it is: Slightly pressing the eyes, in the space gathered at the eyebrows, the method of imprisoning the radiance like a continuous line; When equally abiding in the radiance of the space of awareness; The essence is empty and clear, the originally pure awareness that cannot be expressed, in the state of arising adorned with the power of the four wisdoms, without any acceptance or rejection, modification or fabrication, abiding without effort; As it is said there: The holding of awareness as it is is the instruction; This is the secret essential point; The eyes should be pressed extremely; It should also be regarded as inseparable; In the two corners of the eyes, the space arises, the light is subtle and entwined; There, the essence arises like a continuous line; Subtle, entering, and moving; The eyes are regarded as the realm of space; The body of the Buddha appears as the original bindu;

Once the accustomed warmth is found, the body of awareness is like a continuous stream; what accompanies the body is appearance. Once appearance is cut off, the meaning is: awareness itself is the sought-after dwelling place. This is the third question, what are these means for? From 'Self-Liberation,' for those with minds attached to external objects, the certainty of separately showing four means, and also from 'Without Letters.' It should also be understood as follows: The view of the mountain king standing firm, the contemplation of the ocean king standing firm, the instruction of awareness standing firm, and the means of appearance gazing steadily. This is the fourth question, summarizing the entry by the distinction of reaching the limit: From 'Lamp Illuminating': The measure of the mountain king standing firm is the view; the measure of the ocean king standing firm is the meditation; the measure of appearance gazing steadily is the action; the measure of awareness standing firm is the result. The yogi who possesses four measures is the union of definite meaning and wisdom. That is to say, the view must first become a firm conviction, unshaken by the wind of doubt; on top of the firm conviction, remaining unchanged, this is the meaning of the mountain king standing firm; once it becomes a firm conviction, unshaken by anyone, and never deviating from it, then the view has reached its limit. Meditation means that the nature of empty and clear awareness is not mixed with anything, and the waves of grasping and fixation naturally subside; eliminating all the faults of sinking and excitement, experience and attachment, and abiding in this. Through continuous practice of this, the experience of wavering is like a stream flowing down a steep cliff; the experience of attainment is like water in a narrow cave; the experience of habituation is like water on a barren plain; the experience of stability is like a small lake stirred by a breeze; the experience of completion is like a great ocean undisturbed by waves. In the manner of obtaining these experiences, the clear and bright meditation transforms into a surrounding ocean, this is the ocean king standing firm, the measure of meditation. When external appearances arise, without deliberately rejecting them, but gazing steadily, training the ability to see and vanish, self-liberation; when ultimate stability is reached, appearances arise as companions of awareness, unpolluted, and if it becomes equal to obtaining the result of pure worldlings, then there is no need to abandon bad places, no need for practice, transformation, etc., but spontaneously accomplishing the activity of Samantabhadra, this is the ultimate of gazing steadily, the state of reaching the limit. Now, the lamp of awareness and wisdom is by wind and mind...
