From the state of existence, the radiant energy of the heart goes forth, encountering the wind of unknowing in the lungs, and using the wind as a steed, it travels through the respective realms of the five senses. Third, the life-vein, that is, opening a path from the side of the vertebrae, connecting to the small tip on the left, riding the horse of breath, it travels in the nature of the impure threefold layering. This is because the mind's steed, the life-wind, travels in the life-vein. Fourth, the gates of desire, namely the mouth and the two nostrils, because that is the gate of the wind's coming and going. Fifth, the apprehended and apprehender of fabricated conceptualization, which is the nature of the three realms of cyclic existence. Sixth, that is also the essence of ignorance, called mind, which abides as the basis for collecting all habitual tendencies; it exists together with the mind that perceives objects, and is the root of clinging to self. Eighty thousand afflictions and so forth arise as various self-powers. Seventh, the various pleasures, sufferings, and neutral states accumulate like the churning of a water bucket. Eighth, the manifold appearances of cyclic existence and various lower realms arise. Thus, in the 'Self-Arisen' it says: The state of impurity is present in the self-continuum of all sentient beings, abiding as the impure threefold layering. That is also the way it abides: in the space between the heart and lungs, it abides as a threefold layering. That flows from the veins. Life opens a path from the veins. The gate arises from the mouth and nose. From that, eighty thousand (afflictions) arise. And as it says in the 'Vajrasattva Heart Mirror': Alas! For sentient beings who are gathered by life, afflictions and ignorance abide in great measure. That also abides relying on the aggregates of the body as a support, abiding between the heart and lungs. That is not merely ignorance alone, but is called mind, which abides as the basis for collecting all habitual tendencies. Therein, that which is called mind exists together with the perception of objects. These three, when united as one, are called ignorance, and thus wander in cyclic existence. From that, the five poisons and six (afflictions) arise. Then eighty thousand afflictions arise. From which path do those arise? In the space connecting the lungs and heart, the vein called the red life-vein travels upwards from within like a straw tube, that travels upwards from the side of the vertebrae. That is also connected to the small tip on the left.

They all ride on the horse of breath and run! It runs from the mouth and nose, and from it arise various afflictions! In the "Extensive" it says: The root path of impure samsara, sentient beings who are sustained by life, afflictions and ignorance are the majority, the support is the form aggregate relies on the body, in the middle of the lungs and heart, called the red life-vein, like a small tube, in which the irrational basis is pervasive, called mind has attachment and aversion (hatred), called intention has discrimination, the ignorance of the three combined, with the five poisons and three poisons running, that vein starts from the left spine, runs from the small tips on the left and right, called breath rides on the horse of wind, the door is the mouth and nose running, from it various faults arise, making the cornerstone of afflictive samsara, the sign is when the lungs are seduced at night, like emitting red light, said to be the entrance to the impure path. And, in that it says: The so-called impure afflictions, in the city of the great wind lungs, ignorance, mind, and intention, exist in three ways, the so-called ignorance confuses, obscures the self-knowing nature, the mind obscures the innate wisdom, the intention obscures the face of the clear appearance, from it arise afflictive habits, as well as the alaya consciousness and the apprehended and apprehender, the apprehended and apprehender arise in the five paths, enjoying the five afflictive sufferings. Finished speaking. Thirdly, by the way, to conclude with the distinction between that and wisdom, the distinction between the nature and characteristics of mind and wisdom is, in that pure adornment and, the meaning of Dharma nature is clear, etc., it is said a lot, however, here, in order to clearly explain the way of abiding of the previously mentioned pure triple wisdom, to say it briefly, the support, place, path, relationship, door, the light or that arises from the appearance, object, time, place to go, place of liberation, among the eleven metaphors, the support is, the form aggregate. The place is, in the middle of the precious heart, the intention of Samantabhadra's gau box combination, in the middle of the five lights, body and wisdom abide inseparably. Wisdom is, abiding in the brain in the form of a wrathful deity. The path is, the arising, entering, and appearing from the four great special veins and the great golden veins that are their basis. The relationship is, from the heart to the eyes. The door is self-illumination from the root of the eye to the hook rope where wisdom gathers.
