From... it is said, 'Effortless, spontaneous self-manifestation is so great!' And, 'The teacher, the source of all, is truly wondrous!' And, 'In the Secret Wheel Burning Lamp, the qualities of body, speech, and mind appear in unimaginable detail!' Thus it is. Activities are inconceivable, having attained Buddhahood before all of samsara and nirvana, like the rising sun guiding all beings on the path, spontaneously accomplishing pacifying, increasing, empowering, and wrathful actions, subduing beings in whatever way is appropriate, and mastering the unparalleled magic. Moreover, in 'Self-Arisen' it is said, 'There is no end to the path of treasures.' Thus it is. In 'Vastness' it is said, 'Great compassion, the source of all, is so joyful! The connection between samsara and nirvana is so skillful!' Thus it is. Third, benefiting others through compassion means that, without moving from the Dharmakaya itself, from the gate of spontaneous accomplishment, benefit and happiness are achieved in accordance with the appearances of beings. From the power of light and the appearance of form, the Sambhogakaya is shown, and from that, the aeon of the Great Brahma is arranged, showing the Svabhavikakaya, and from the gate of impure samsara, showing the four kinds of Nirmanakaya, the teacher who accords with the appearances of sentient beings, and so forth, thus emptying samsara, cutting off all the suffering of existence and peace without remainder, and accomplishing vast benefits in the intermediate state and ultimately, until they are placed in the unchanging ground of great bliss. In 'The Mirror of the Heart of Samantabhadra' it is said, 'The activity of Samantabhadra need not be sought, it is spontaneously accomplished!' Thus it is. The former is the completion of the inner clear activity in the plan, and the latter is the outer clear establishment of benefits for sentient beings, so it is not a repetition. Second, regarding the deluded ways of unenlightened sentient beings, there are: explaining the basis of delusion, and from that, explaining the way of delusion, and explaining the result of delusion, these three. Among these, the first has three summarized points, and the basis of delusion is explained as five. Among these, the first is: as previously explained, the appearance of the eight gates of spontaneous accomplishment goes in the direction of appearing as faults and becomes deluded, therefore, the ways of establishing the basis of delusion on the respective opposite sides of the dharmadhatu and wisdom are different, that is, the spontaneous, indeterminate basis appearance, the self (藏文:རང༵,梵文天城体:स्व,罗马拟音:sva,汉语字面意思:self) nature (藏文:བཞིན༵,梵文天城体:भाव,罗马拟音:bhāva,汉语字面意思:nature) clear (藏文:གས༵ལ,梵文天城体:प्रभा,罗马拟音:prabhā,汉语字面意思:clear) light (藏文:བ༵,梵文天城体:व,罗马拟音:va,汉语字面意思:of) of the five colors, is the basis of delusion of the environment and body, the essence (藏文:ངོ༵,梵文天城体:अङ्ग,罗马拟音:aṅga,汉语字面意思:essence) nature (藏文:བོ༵,梵文天城体:स्वभाव,罗马拟音:svabhāva,汉语字面意思:nature) empty (藏文:སྟོང༵,梵文天城体:शून्य,罗马拟音:śūnya,汉语字面意思:empty) nature (藏文:པ༵,梵文天城体:ता,罗马拟音:tā,汉语字面意思:nature) of the dharmata free from elaboration, the dharmadhatu of the outer environment inseparable from the wisdom of original purity; the knowing aspect of awareness, compassion (藏文:ཐུག༵ས,梵文天城体:चित्त,罗马拟音:citta,汉语字面意思:mind) heart (藏文:རྗེ༵,梵文天城体:कृपा,罗马拟音:kṛpā,汉语字面意思:compassion) all (藏文:ཀུན༵,梵文天城体:सर्व,罗马拟音:sarva,汉语字面意思:all) pervasive (藏文:ཁྱབ༵,梵文天城体:व्यापि,罗马拟音:vyāpi,汉语字面意思:pervasive) is the nature

The Dharmakaya, inseparable from the three great Kayas, is the basis of delusion in the inner mind. In the definitive meaning of the Gathering, it says: "Dharmata is the basis of delusion for the object; five lights are the basis of delusion for the body; and awareness is the basis of delusion for the mind." That is what it says. That is to say, it is appropriate to have a basis of delusion when similar dharmas are the same; otherwise, like humans and horses, there would be no confusion because they are different. Because Dharmata, space, and objects have no conceptualization, and because the five lights and the body have similar colors, and because the mind and awareness have similar aspects of compassion and wisdom, it is appropriate to have a basis of delusion. In that very text, it says: "Dharmata is appropriate as the basis of delusion for the object, because it is similar to non-awareness and emptiness; five lights are appropriate as the basis of delusion for the body, because they are similar in color and so on; awareness is appropriate as the basis of delusion for the mind, because the knowing aspect of knowledge is not obstructed." Furthermore, because the essence abides in the body, it is the basis of delusion for the body; because the nature exists in light, it is the basis of delusion for the object; because compassion exists in the aspect of wisdom, it is the basis of delusion for the mind. The way of placing them is different. Similarly, because the essence is non-conceptual, it is formless; because the nature is clear, it is the form realm; because compassion arises from the desire realm, it becomes the basis of delusion. According to these, in the "All-Illuminating Bindu," it says: "Then what is it? Awareness is enlightened as Samantabhadra, abiding in the three: essence, nature, and compassion. It does not arise from the father's cause and the mother's condition; it is self-arisen and spontaneously accomplished. Buddhas and sentient beings have the same essence, which is called the basis of delusion. From the basis of delusion arise delusion and non-delusion. When sentient beings are deluded and abide in the three: body, speech, and mind, they do not go beyond the Dharmata of the three: essence, nature, and compassion. Even when the non-conceptual Buddhas' body, speech, and mind reach the ultimate, they do not go beyond the Dharmata of the three: essence, nature, and compassion." Thus, the retinue of the Dharmakaya is self-arisen wisdom. The five senses and the sixth consciousness are called self-arisen wisdom, because the initial thought of mind did not arise conceptually, but arose non-conceptually; therefore, mind is called self-arisen wisdom. The meaning is like this: since it is Buddha, how does samsara arise? Delusion arises from the existence of a basis of delusion. From the Dharmakaya, which is without substance, the essence appears as an image and so on, and because it has no limitations in any direction, the appearance...
