The five Buddha families, they are primordially so, but previously not known, etc. The five afflictions bound by self-grasping, they are primordially self-arisen as awareness, because they are wisdom, there is no need to seek them, etc. And from the three, body, awareness, and light, it is said that they are mistaken as objects, body, and mind, etc. Other tantras also explain that the nature of samsaric dharmas and the dharmas of the result are connected by the same essence of self, all of which are like clouds are the sky, and dust is a mirror. Is it appropriate to say that? To that, there are also very many scriptural citations from the Dzogchen perspective. Now, I think that the five skandhas, five kayas, etc., are primordially so, like a white conch shell, there is only a difference between the subject and the nature of dharma, and the way of abiding and the way of appearing. Although it appears as nirvana, it is actually attachment to samsara. The skandhas and many afflictions, and the appearance of birth and death and faults, etc., I think are like xanthopsia. The cause of that is grasping at subject and object, ignorance, like jaundice; the path is like medicine; abandoning ignorance is like the disease being cured; that afflictions and faults are not faults is like the purification of xanthopsia; appearing as wisdom is like seeing a white conch shell. Therefore, from the perspective of actual power, afflictions are wisdom, and there is no need to transform them. The self-nature of wisdom manifests countless mandalas of the immeasurable outer, inner, and other three wheels. Now, from the perspective of thought, it is like transformation, like from defilement to purity, like the direct manifestation of qualities. However, like when a blue-yellow conch shell appears, it is originally abiding as white, so it is not a new transformation, so it is not a transformation. Abandoning yellow vision is not the disappearance of the conch shell. Behind that yellow conch shell, there is a second conch shell hidden, a white conch shell, but it is not suddenly appearing. From the way it appears, it is like it originally appeared as yellow and gradually turned white. It is also like it was previously obscured and is now appearing. Therefore, all these expressions, if understood with a way of thinking, do not contradict the reasoning just explained. If you cling to one aspect, it is not beautiful. In the "Treasure Vault of Magical Keys" it says: The great spontaneously arisen wisdom and the delusion of ignorance, are they one or different? Grasping at the characteristic of the subject and the essence of the meaning of the nature of dharma, are they one or different? The three realms of samsara

Sentient beings and the Buddhas abiding in the three times, are they one or different? The Lord of Secrets said: From the perspective of delusional thought-control, they are not one but different, but from the perspective of actual control, all are indivisibly one. Thus it is said. From the great self-existing state, the all-knowing Buddha and the ignorant sentient being, the difference in size that arises is like a goldsmith, the basis of appearance is one. Thus it is said. The reason is that here, the terms "absorption" and "purification" are all like the yellow and white of a conch shell, so there are differences such as that which is to be absorbed, the absorber, that which is to be purified, the purifier, the basis of purification, etc., but it is not absorption. That which is not originally so, like a stone turning into gold, is not a transformation; the nature is related, and the evil afflictions do not become better. The three channels, mind, and wisdom are also the same as that; merely by reversing attachment to appearances and purifying, the state of dwelling and appearance becoming harmonious and manifest is entering the expanse, pacifying into the Dharmadhatu, thus speaking of terms. From the Tantra of the Wisdom Guru: Thereafter, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva manifestly awakened to Buddhahood on the Vajra Throne, without abandoning the body, he became a Buddha in the mandala of the Goddess of Light. Without abandoning speech, he became a Buddha in the perfect sound of Brahma. Without abandoning the entering of mind, he became a Buddha, liberated ultimately in the expanse of self-born wisdom, free from outflows. Accomplishing deeds perfectly, he became a Buddha in the expanse of non-action. Perfecting activities, he became a Buddha, accomplished without seeking. All dharmas became Buddhas in the expanse of non-dharmas. All outer container worlds, gathered by the five elements, became Buddhas in the expanse of unborn wisdom, the expanse of space, perfectly pure. All inner content sentient beings, gathered by the six classes of beings, became Buddhas in the five great wisdoms, the self-born, non-abiding wisdom, and the sixth. The Dharmakaya, the single bindu, is true, and the two Rupakayas ripen as fruit, manifestly awakening to Buddhahood on the Vajra Throne. Thus, the way of becoming a Buddha through self-liberation without abandonment, and from the Mirror of the Mind of Samantabhadra: The impure, deluded appearances obscure the appearances of wisdom; when the deluded appearances cease, the pure appearances arise. Habitual imprints obscure the illusory body of wisdom; by abandoning this body, the appearances of light arise.
