The very nature of uncorrected, natural abiding, not transformed by appearances, not fabricated by the mind, if the nature of reality abides in space, it is shown as the very intention. Dharmakaya wisdom, abandoning all thoughts, if there is no movement, it is the intention of meditation. If you do not grasp the direction of the object, like stars appearing in the depths of the ocean, the unobstructed clarity of non-grasping, the way of abiding in intention is just like that. So it is said. Third, the method of showing the appearance of gazing is: In the clear space of the pure elemental basis, do not make distinctions such as 'this is this', and without being bound by the firm conviction of pure liberation, if it appears, then on the appearance, the abiding of self-liberation of grasping. From the previous one, the great method of appearance gazing is the great method of awareness. The great appearance is the basis of all. Although this statement is used at the time of cutting through, if it is applied to sudden breakthrough, the pure appearance is the five external lights, and the five internal wisdoms are called the five elements and the great elements. The five elements appear as the path of the Buddha. The five great ones are clear in the appearance of the mother. Do not be distracted in the great non-grasping. The five great wisdoms of the great secret mantra, with the five great ones, abide in the immovable realm. The awareness of Vajrasattva abides, showing all the appearances of the Dharmakaya. Whatever appears as the pure appearance of wisdom, the secret method of abiding, the state of the method of gazing. The appearance of the body does not abandon the five elements. It is not abandonment, but abides in its own meaning. The nature of reality is vast, and it is regarded as a great appearance of gazing. Do not focus on the practice of great perfection. So it is said. Fourth, awareness abiding is: Pressing the eyes slightly, in the realm gathered at the eyebrows, with the method of binding the radiance like a thread, when abiding equally in the radiance of the realm of awareness, the essence is empty and clear, the indescribable, transparent awareness, adorned with the power of the four wisdoms, in the state of arising, without fabrication, acceptance or rejection, without effort, abiding in that very nature. In that very nature, the awareness abiding is the oral instruction, this is the secret essential point. The eyes should be pressed extremely hard, and it should also be regarded as inseparable. From the two corners of the eyes, the realm arises, and the light is thin and entangled. In that essence, it arises like a thread, subtle, entering, and moving. The eyes are regarded as the realm of space, and the Buddha's body appears as a bindu. If it gains the warmth of familiarity, the body of awareness is a thread.

and all appearances. The intention of settling appearances once and for all is: Awareness itself is the place of settling. This is the third question, namely, what are the means for these? From Self-Liberation, the certainty of separately showing four means to those with minds focused on objects, and also from the Wordless Dharma, it should be understood in this way: The view of Mount Meru settling, the intention of the ocean king settling, the instruction of awareness settling, and the means of appearances gazing settling. This is the fourth question, summarizing the entry by means of the distinction of reaching the limit: From the Lamp Illuminating, it says: Mount Meru settling is the limit of view, the ocean king settling is the limit of meditation, appearances gazing settling is the limit of conduct, awareness settling is the limit of result. The yogi possessing the four limits is the definitive meaning mixed with wisdom. That is to say, the view must first be decided, become conviction, and not be shaken by the wind of doubt. Therefore, it is appropriate to settle the decided view immovably as Mount Meru settling. Once it becomes conviction, unshakable by anyone, and never wavering from it, then the view has reached its limit. Meditation is to settle the nature of empty-clear awareness without mixing with anything, and the waves of grasping and fixation subside in their own place. All faults of sinking and excitement, attachment and aversion are eliminated and settled. Through continuous familiarization with this, the experience of wavering is like a waterfall on a steep cliff; the experience of attainment is like water in a narrow cave; the experience of familiarization is like water on a barren plain; the experience of stability is like a small lake stirred by a breeze; the experience of final completion is like a great ocean unshaken by waves. In this way, the clear and luminous meditation becomes a surrounding ocean, which is shown as the limit of the ocean king settling meditation. When outer appearances arise, without deliberately rejecting them, but gazing directly and training in the skill of seeing-vanishing self-liberation, when ultimate stability is reached, appearances arise as a friend of awareness, unpolluted, and become equal to attaining the state of a pure worldling. If one reaches this state, there is no need to abandon bad places, train, transform, etc., but spontaneously accomplish the conduct of Samantabhadra. This is the ultimate limit of gazing settling, which is reaching the limit. Now, the lamp of awareness-wisdom, free from the husk of wind-mind, is settled, which is the means and result of the manifested fruit.
