. Therefore, one should not constantly transgress (this limit). For example, like the limbs of a snake, even if they exist, they are difficult to perceive if not forcefully controlled. Similarly, even if awareness abides in the body, it will not manifest if the key points of posture are not applied. The outer emptiness is like a place, the inner purity is like a home. For awareness, like controlling the veins of a sheep, applying the key points of the three bodies is the best. As it says in "The Lamp That Illuminates": The body is not without blood; everything is pervaded and relies on blood. A capable person, if he pierces the pulse, blood will flow out. The wisdom that abides in the body is the same. As it says: Yogis of other sects, if they are not shown this, will not see it no matter how they investigate. If this sublime instruction is shown, just as the body of a cow is pervaded with milk, and the wise man draws it from the udder, milk will flow forth. The key points of the body will also become clear, and one will always see them effortlessly. Therefore, the body is awakened as the Vajra Body of Emanation, and in order to separate the bonds, it obtains the name of opening the treasure door. In "After Death" (it says): If the body wants to enter Nirvana, it should learn the way of abiding in the three bodies. Whoever does this, all the Buddhas of the three times will enter Nirvana in the expanse of his body. Second, the key point of speech, using the unspeakable Vajra Key of Speech, opening the treasure door of the Sambhogakaya, and reciting in the realm of Nirvana. The application of the key points of speech, and its necessity. The first part has four points: In "Complete Transformation" it says: Speech needs to be learned, abided in, recited, and stabilized. Therefore, the first step is the order of learning: Abandon all deluded speech arising from language, and in order to gradually abide in the unspeakable state, do not abandon reciting practices, etc. Abide in saying nothing, and sometimes in order to eliminate the faults of speech and attachment to the actions of speech, go to uninhabited places, etc., and forcefully arouse all good and bad thoughts of the past, present, and future, and speak them out without acceptance or rejection, like a madman. By speaking in this way, speech will cease, and when one does not want to speak, one learns not to speak. As it says in "The Boundless": The key point of speech is like this: Speech needs to be learned, abided in, and recited. The first step is to learn, first learning not to speak for a short time. Do not abandon reciting mantras, etc., deluded talk

Abandon all mother-like (speech), words should be concise, and then practice for a long time. Sometimes, even if it shouldn't be said, say it. This is the first point. Second, the method of abiding is: except for communicating with others through bodily gestures, abandon the errors arising from speech, do not prohibit the recitation of mantras and scriptures, and abide in silence. Regarding the method of practice, the "Extensive Sutra" says: Then the method of abiding is: abandon prostrations, circumambulations, reciting scriptures, etc., do not prohibit the recitation of mantras, let alone talking to others? Only bodily gestures should be used. This is the second point. Third, repeated practice is: prohibit all verbal expressions, abide like a mute, and do not make any expressions except for mental gestures. Fourth, the method of stabilization is: abide in this way, become accustomed to maintaining the original state, so that the root of speech connecting the external mind and the body-mind, that is, the karma wind naturally subsides, thereby gradually purifying the activities of the mind. The "Extensive Sutra" says: Then stabilize and repeatedly practice, prohibit all verbal expressions, and abide like a mute. Bodily gestures should also not be made, only mental gestures should be made. If the activity of speech is cut off, then half of the yogic practice is completed. The true meaning of silence will appear in the continuum, and quickly attaining Buddhahood is the key. This is the fourth point. Its necessity is that, in general, verbal expression is through speaking, and thoughts in the mind will also arise accordingly, so the activities of body, speech, and mind are unified. By restraining speech, the body and mind will naturally be tamed. Therefore, universally speaking, the body will receive the blessings of Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, heroes, and dakinis; the true words of speech will be accomplished, and even communication with non-humans will be possible; unprecedented fragmentary psychic powers, etc., will arise in the mind; the most supreme accomplishment, that is, the meaning of silence will appear in the continuum, thereby naturally pacifying the external mind and clinging, and the scattering of thoughts will also be cut off; ultimately, liberation is attained in the dharmadhatu of speech. The "Secret Conduct Seed Tantra" says: Speech should be like a mute, not making any gestures to anyone. A person who practices like this will naturally cut off the scattering of thoughts in the mind. And, "After the Past" also says: Speech has a sequence of practice, that is, abiding, stabilizing, and repeatedly practicing, do not go beyond these.
