Noh. First, lying face down suppresses the accumulated Dharma and has the power to subdue the clinging of the three doors. Bringing the knees to the chest universally subdues the arising heat, and especially manifests illusion as wisdom. Pushing the toes outward is the key to stopping karmic winds naturally. Planting the elbows on the ground manifestly draws in the space-awareness. Relying on the hollow of the palms is the key to being inseparable from great bliss. Lifting the neck upward has the key to restoring the primordial wind to its original state. As it says in the 'Vast Expanse': The essential posture of the body is like this: Lie face down straight, plant both elbows on the ground, support the hollows with both palms, bring both knees to the chest, lift the neck and throw it back. Also, as it says in 'Vivid Space': Now, the wheel of the Sambhogakaya is like a sleeping elephant, with the right side pressed down on the ground, both knees brought to the chest, both palms placed on the cheeks, both elbows planted on the ground, and all toes pushed outward. That is all. Second, the merit of this is: with the awareness that grasps characteristics, like a Vajra chain, with the radiance of a completely pure realm, one sees directly with the immaculate lotus eye, and one enjoys the realms of body, speech, and mind, and has the merit of grasping the clear wind of wisdom. As it says in that very text: Now, the posture of the Sambhogakaya is like a sleeping elephant, one sees the awareness that grasps characteristics, it is necessary to grasp the clarifying wind. And: One enjoys the Dharmata, one will see with the lotus eye. Also, as it says in 'Vivid Space': One perfectly enjoys the Dharmata, one will see the radiance of awareness like a chain. Also, as it says in 'Golden Garuda': By emulating the posture of the Sambhogakaya, with this one enjoys the realms of the three bodies. That is all. Third, the posture of the Nirmanakaya is like the essential body posture of a sage abiding in Samadhi. In that too, there are the actual arrangement and the merit. First, the body abides in a squatting posture, reversing the karmic winds that emanate from the three pulse openings where consciousness enters; pressing both legs together and raising them is the key to the union of method and wisdom; pressing the abdomen to the back is the key to stopping immediate thoughts; bringing the knees to the chest universally harmonizes the changes of the body.

Especially, the skill of generating wisdom; the two palms supporting the sides of the cheeks are the key to the mingling of the mother and son of space and awareness; the two elbows pressing against the knees are the key to preventing the channels from wandering; the soles of the feet pressing on the ground are the key to suppressing the winds of karma and affliction. As it is said in the *Limitless*: "The posture itself is like this: squat with the two feet together, the abdomen slightly touching the back, the two knees close to the chest, the two elbows pressing against the knees, the two palms supporting the sides of the cheeks." And as it is said in the *Vast Expanse of Clarity*: "Thereafter is the wheel of the Nirmāṇakāya: like the squatting posture of a sage, draw in the neck, extend the arms, and squat, the two knees close to the chest, and apply the mudrā." Its benefit is that, in general, the aggregates of the body, especially the all-pervading wisdom, together with self-confidence, manifest clearly in space, and are seen with bubble-like eyes. As it is said in the *Limitless*: "Now the posture of the Nirmāṇakāya is shown: with the bodily posture like that of a sage, one's own appearances are determined; relying on the squatting posture of a sage, the dharmatā naturally emanates, and one will be able to see with the eye of dharmatā. Furthermore, through the channels and wheels, the five wisdoms abiding in their own nature will be seen with bubble-like eyes." As it is said in the *Golden Sky Leaping*: "That which purifies the aggregates of the body is precisely the posture of the Nirmāṇakāya." Thus, the first posture, in which the soles of the two feet are joined together and the two hands are placed in the middle in fists, and the last posture, in which the hollows of the backs of the hands are raised, are all excluded by these tantras and āgamas, so this is the only unerring nail. Third, the necessity of these is as has just been explained separately; in general, the great wisdom of self-abiding emptiness and clarity dwells pervasively and expansively, and the tantras, āgamas, and pith instructions are in agreement, but the failure to see completely in the clear and empty sky is due to confusion about the form of the method. Just as the body of a snake has feet and hands, but they are not visible unless it coils up, so too, the channels, winds, and bindus of the Dharmakāya, which is completely pure, are inherently present, but because they are bound by the three immovable keys, the activity of the impure channels, winds, and bindus is destroyed by the characteristics of possessing the four straightnesses, and therefore the appearances of wisdom arise in a blissful manner. As it is said in the *Limitless*: "Moreover, the body is the three kāyas."
