Supreme beyond the earth, possessing all precious qualities, whether or not it is an emanation body is uncertain, the one who teaches the definitive meaning of the oral instructions, is especially superior to those with fortune. Although the image in crystal clear, it is mistaken because it changes due to the condition of color. The Dharmakaya, without inside or outside, is especially superior because of its unchanging clarity. Thus it is said. The seventh, the calling sound, is: Because it is the nature or essence of clear awareness, it is called essence (Tibetan: ངོ་བོ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: स्वभाव, Sanskrit Romanization: svabhāva, Chinese literal meaning: self-nature). Because it is the continuation of clarity, it is called nature (Tibetan: རང་བཞིན་, Sanskrit Devanagari: प्रकृति, Sanskrit Romanization: prakṛti, Chinese literal meaning: nature). Because it is the blessing of emptiness and clarity, it is called self (Tibetan: བདག་ཉིད, Sanskrit Devanagari: आत्म, Sanskrit Romanization: ātma, Chinese literal meaning: self) or compassion (Tibetan: ཐུགས་རྗེ, Sanskrit Devanagari: करुणा, Sanskrit Romanization: karuṇā, Chinese literal meaning: compassion). Furthermore, because it is without the defilement of dualistic grasping and afflictive knowledge, it is primordially pure. Because the five bodies of characteristics have not been cultivated, it is originally pure. Without severing the fundamental emptiness, the Dharmakaya's awareness is adorned with the five wisdom bodies of inner clarity and wisdom. The clear nature of awareness, and its five inherent lights, the nature of spontaneously arising without effort, with the vast door of the thirty-five qualities of the five aspects, is named the awareness of the Sambhogakaya. The mandala of knowledge, as it is and how it is, is vast in its own manifestation, and for the benefit of others, the arising of the connection of the means of taming and the emanation that is tamed, through the knowledge of the union of these two, and the magical display or emanation of the great equality of appearance and emptiness, is called the awareness of the Nirmanakaya through compassion. As it is said in "Vast Expanse of Clarity": Emptiness is called essence, clarity is called nature, radiance is called compassion. And in "Meaning Clarity" and "Consequence": Nature is pure, self-nature is self, because it is unmade, it is called nature, the nature that appears clearly, and the great self that is inseparable. And in "Burning Corpses in the Charnel Ground": Essence, nature, and compassion, nature is pure, self-nature is self. And in primordially pure, originally pure, unobstructed, it is named the awareness of the Dharmakaya. In clear radiance, spontaneously accomplished, all-pervading, it is named the awareness of the Sambhogakaya. In unceasing, spontaneously arising, it is named the awareness of the Nirmanakaya. The awareness of the Dharmakaya is emptiness, the awareness of the Sambhogakaya is clarity, the awareness of the Nirmanakaya is all-pervading. Thus it is said. Likewise, in "Longchen Rabjam": Many disagreements are explained in the ground, essence, definition, difference, and characteristics, similar examples, etc., are explained. Essence is the single bindu, definition is because the qualities are perfected in the ground, it is called the basis of all. Thus, and characteristics
