Here, regarding the measurement of one's own sphere of activity and the manifestation of particularly excellent activity, there are two aspects. The first has six parts: essence, definition, classification, characteristics, mode of action, and function. First, the essence is the play of the wisdom of accomplishing activities as an emanation body. The three, perfection, maturation, and purification, and all the qualities of abandonment and realization are completely perfected. Having attained the Dharmakaya for one's own benefit, from that sphere, the spontaneously accomplished Sambhogakaya, a self-appearance like the moon in the sky, arises. Because the activity of these two inseparable bodies manifests as the Nirmanakaya, it has the same meaning as the activity of the Dharmakaya spoken of in the Prajnaparamita. Furthermore, because all actions and activities are of the nature of karma, the essence is also manifested as the wisdom of accomplishing activities. Because the causes and conditions for effortlessly arising for the benefit of others are complete, and because all the habitual tendencies that obscure karma are completely purified, and because actions and activities are perfected, one attains mastery over vast activities and abides in the wisdom of accomplishing activities. Second, the definition is: because one effortlessly accomplishes the individual purposes of each being, it is the activity of the Buddhas, and therefore it is called activity. Third, the classification is: of the two, with effort and without effort, the activity of the Buddhas is the spontaneous arising of the twenty-seven activities of the Dharmakaya, etc., without effort. Fourth, the characteristic is: it is not just one, but it eliminates all the temporary and long-term sufferings of samsara, such as the four great rivers of birth, old age, sickness, and death of limitless sentient beings, and it is a state capable of accomplishing benefit and happiness. As it is said in the Ornament of the Sutras: "The wisdom of accomplishing activities is diverse in all realms, and the immeasurable, inconceivable emanation bodies accomplish the benefit of all sentient beings." Also, in the Clear Meaning of Freedom from Proliferation, it is said: "The essence of activity is the wisdom of accomplishing activities. The definition of activity is: the nature transcends action and effort, and accomplishing the individual purposes is activity. There are two types of classification: with effort and without effort." Also, in that same text, it is said: "Without action or effort, like the sun's rays, it dispels the darkness of the night in the three realms. With unobstructed great compassion, it is the great activity without action or effort." Thus it is. The mode of performing activities is: with the bodies of the four modes of taming.

If symbolized, the four types of emanations, etc., with the spontaneously accomplished form of peaceful, increasing, powerful, and wrathful activities, exist for those who perform the four activities, acting in the manner of the five methods of taming. Similarly, the taming through the manifestations and intentions of the five activities, knowing the means and methods of speech and mind separately, should also be combined. The activities are: there are also four objects of action, so for the disciples of the philosophical schools, as the basis of the path and the vehicle that places them on the path; for the actual path and the vehicle that ultimately places them on reality; for the ultimate result of the path and the vehicle that leads to it, by arranging them, all needs and desires of peaceful, increasing, powerful, and wrathful activities are completely accomplished. As it is said in the Samputa Tantra: 'Sometimes peaceful, sometimes wrathful, sometimes cutting off demons and obstacles, and so on, immeasurable and supreme.' And as it is said: 'The Buddhas and their sons, to whomever is to be tamed, show a form that is in accordance with them.' And in the Golden Light Sutra it is said: 'For the benefit of sentient beings, they show various manifestations.' Second, the activities are particularly excellent, from the perspective of vastness, from the perspective of skillful and numerous methods, from the perspective of benefiting with one method, from the perspective of the method not exceeding the time, from the perspective of continuous and effortless activity, there are six. The first is: just as the sky pervades, and sentient beings pervade all places, because the supreme activity of the Buddha pervades simultaneously, it is also particularly excellent compared to other activities. As it is said in the Ornament of Clear Realization: 'Because the activity is so vast, it is certain to say that the Buddha is pervasive.' The second is: it is not just occasional, but the limit of the vehicle is endless, and there is no obstacle to the rituals of direct and indirect immeasurable methods, because it is all-knowing. As it is said in the Lankavatara Sutra: 'As long as consciousness enters, the limit of the vehicle is endless.' And as it is said in the Uttaratantra: 'Whatever the realm of those to be tamed, whatever the many methods of taming, wherever the actions of those to be tamed, whatever the time, place, and season, the teacher is the one who definitely declares that.' The third is: the various methods of temporary benefit and happiness for taming disciples by the Buddha will not turn into the cause of accumulating ultimate suffering, but will gradually or simultaneously place them in liberation.
