That is, without exceeding the meaning of observing the arising of dependent origination, not allowing the mind-wind to scatter outward with knowledge and vision; therefore, it is said: 'The view of the mountain king, the unmoving, is the secret itself; there is no doubt, and naturally there is no change.' Also, in 'The Union of Appearance and Existence,' it says: 'Without movement in the mind, rest in the state of immovability; without naming the mind, rest in the state without attachment, elaboration, discrimination, or clinging; rest in the unchanging nature of reality.' Such a view of immovability, for the beginner, cannot be truly maintained; therefore, these three subsequent methods of abiding are needed, which are: adjusting the self-nature of the ocean's immovability, in the clear and stainless mirror of the mind, using the immovability of awareness to recognize the essence of observation; with the focused abiding of appearances, so that appearances do not stain awareness, thereby liberating appearance and mind at the root, and ultimately attaining the original view of the mountain king's immovability. Such methods and views, and the three ways of abiding in the result, are: first (second, examination), the ocean's immovability is: fixing the eyes on the distant appearance, knowing that clarity is bright, like the ocean not moved by waves, abiding in the realm of appearance without being defiled by clinging. In the wordless tantra, it says: 'The view of the ocean's immovability is: not appearance, nor causing appearance; not emptiness, nor existing in emptiness; not luminosity, nor the realm of great luminosity; not sinking, nor the nature of scattering; not moving, nor unmoving, not changing into moving; not acting, nor not acting, transcending all actions; not arising from action, observing with the great method of abiding; not expanding, not contracting, being in the state of immovability; not abiding, nor transcending it; in the secret wisdom like the ocean, let wisdom naturally and vastly abide in space; in the unfathomable great ocean, look at the top of the victory banner that does not sink; without the mind of emptiness, it is the great body of non-fabrication; without action, it overcomes all actions; primordially unfabricated, it is self-born immovability; not changing appearance, not fabricating with conceptual thought; if the nature of reality abides in space, then it shows its view; the wisdom of the Dharmakaya abandons all thoughts; if there is no transformation, then it is the view of practice; if one does not cling to the object of focus, like stars appearing in the depths of the ocean, without clinging, clear

Therefore, the way of abiding in realization is just like that. It is said, here the clear liquid of the eyes is called the ocean, and that itself is the path for the arising of wisdom. Therefore, without blocking the senses, naturally and clearly, without negating the six objects of external appearance, even when the light shines brightly, keep the awareness abiding on the appearance without being lost in it. If you block the six consciousnesses, you will stray into meditating on ignorance. If you block the six objects, even if you have mindfulness, you will stray into a one-sided state of calm abiding. Even when objects appear, if you do not settle the view and just abide in a state of empty clarity, that is because it will create the habit of being born in the form realm, and so on. Among the six spheres, the meditation of abiding without straying is: the doors of the senses are clear, and there is no conceptual thought in the mind. And so on, and in the tantra where the realization of the Buddhas is gathered, it says: The example of clear space is the sky, opening the door of appearance, moving the eyes and increasing it. In the nature of reality of original purity, abide without grasping with the mind. In the clear and pervasive purity of the Dharmadhatu, keep the awareness in great, clear depth. In the unmade, free from elaboration, vast expanse, keep the movement in great purity and clarity. Thus. Third, awareness left as it is, is: the self-born wisdom of clarity and emptiness, also separated from mind, intellect, and consciousness, without straying into the pitfalls of meditative attachment, the vast expanse of self-liberation, the realization without inner, outer, or intermediate boundaries, placing the self-abiding king on his throne, closing the door of the breath, imprisoning the ministers of the mind, and when the movement of conceptual thought ceases, the king of awareness listens with one mind and abides in his own nature, the manifestation of the five sense consciousnesses is emptiness, therefore the samsara that relies on the mind is purified into namelessness, and the awareness is vivid, clear, and naked, abiding in the recognition of the self-face of the primordial ground luminosity, therefore the Buddha who relies on wisdom, is naturally attained like something in your hand, all the key points of the instructions are gathered in these two. Therefore, in the self-arising of awareness it says: If a yogi sees the meaning of awareness, there is not a single one who is not an enlightened Buddha. This, in connection with Tögal, is: awareness abides without abiding, grasps without grasping, is born without being born, is stable without being stable, knows without knowing, is liberated without being liberated, with the six instructions that make the nature, radiance, and energy of the self-born lamp of wisdom indivisible and experienced as one taste.
