Due to errors in view and meditation, it is of no benefit to make the true meaning of the view become a habit, because there is no connection. Therefore, in order to conform to the equality of habit, abandon all the elaborations of conceptual thoughts, and in equality, in the uncorrected nature of reality, on the meaning of non-duality that does not distinguish between self and other, through the instructions of the four methods, naturally abide, this is reasonable. As it is said in "Meaning Clear": 'Seeking meaning in the north but going to the south, going to the south cannot achieve the meaning of the north, wanting the meaning of the above but practicing the below, the people below do not seek the meaning of the above.' Thus it is said. Just as it is said: 'There is meaning in the east but going to the north.' And so on, and in "Union of Appearances and Existence" it says: 'Whatever appears, emptiness and clarity are simultaneous, without abandoning faults, without taking advantages, abide. The heart essence sees emptiness simultaneously, without relying on any desires, abide. Primordially pure, without faults, without seeing, without desires, arrogance, and calculations, abide.' And, 'In order to obtain the unchanging Dharmakaya, even if you strive to practice, it is not enough, abandon all actions, you should abide in your own nature, free from the disease of taking and abandoning attachment.' And, in "Cutting Elaborations" it says: 'Without thought, abide without elaboration, cut off the elaboration of the unthinkable.' And, in "Tantra of the Union of Sun and Moon" it says: 'The Sugata's intention has two aspects, not correcting and abiding, the arising feelings cease, not meditating but looking, the warmth is obtained.' Thus it is said. Second, how to abide, through the door of the three samadhis to cultivate the intention of naturalness, and through the four methods of abiding to manifest the intention of the great non-meditation, and as an aid to them, cut off the connection of the three times with the mind, thereby cultivating in timeless equality, there are three, of which the first, the essence is briefly indicated, and the method of cultivation is explained in detail in two parts, of which the first, the essence of the great initial subjugation samadhi is, at the time of the appearance of confused sentient beings, the mind that grasps the outer objects as inner, clinging and arising like a flowing stream of conceptual thoughts, thereby bound to samsara, through directly cutting off the elaborations of clinging, thereby the practice of manifesting the self-appearing enjoyment Sambhogakaya. The great expansive increase samadhi is, for all appearances, without negating affirmation, abandoning taking, through the means of samadhi, naturally increasing, thereby bound to the Dharmadhatu.

The essence of Dzogchen is: the great nexus of view, meditation, and action, the wisdom that transcends the three of view, meditation, and action. The reality of all phenomena, abiding equally in the nature of things as they are. As stated in the "Extensive Sixfold Greatness Tantra": I have shown the experience of revealing the three bodies, and thus there are three samadhis of the basis Dharmakaya. With meditation that rests in its own place, equally abide in the reality of things. With the power of the great spontaneous samadhi, avert attachment to the direct appearance of the Sambhogakaya. With the great expansive samadhi, all appearances as forms, the Nirmanakaya, abide in their own place. Thus it is. Second, to explain the method of meditation in detail, there are three aspects, the first of which is the expansive manifestation: the body in the lotus posture, the eyes gazing at the sky or space like an elephant, without anticipation, the mind without distraction, abiding in the essence of the great meditation of the natural state of awareness, the connection between appearance and mind is severed, and the mind does not go under the influence of conditions, this is because of the activity of the five inner winds binding into the sphere. If so, the ultimate experience and nature that arises from this will also appear as if pure, empty, and clear. As stated in the "Sixfold Expanse": The great expansive samadhi, whoever wishes to meditate, in order to seize the key of immutability, having fixed the posture of the body, fling the consciousness into the expanse of the sky, likewise, with the eyes gazing into space, with the gaze of an elephant, abide in the great expansive state of unconsciousness. Thus it is. This is not something that can be deliberately accomplished through the effort of abandoning and adopting, but it is most crucial to spend time in the essence of the self-abiding vajra heart without benefit or harm. Second, the method of how to meditate on the great samadhi of abiding in one's own place is taught: Do not create restrictions by clinging to the appearances of the six consciousnesses, do not scatter outwards, cut off the stream of thoughts that flow inwards, be free in the state of the great profound clarity of the nature of reality, the four of view, meditation, action, and result are all decided in the state of awareness that is transparent and unified, therefore, one should be immersed in the natural meditation, and also abide in this state when falling asleep, and if connected with Tögal, by filling the bindu, abide in the coarse and subtle awareness of large and small, dreams will appear as light, clear, thin, thick, and so on.
