The populace is forcefully subdued. (End quote) Second, there are three things to be learned: First, the commitment to learning the wisdom of emptiness of essence is: In the state of naturally pure space, by equally abiding with the effort of mixing and transferring the mind, whether present or absent, all the elaborations of mind and mental factors, the perceptions of unequal characteristics, are completely purified, and the awareness free from conceptualization arises indivisibly like the three layers of space. That is called the unconditioned state. Sometimes, the four elements of earth, water, fire, and wind, the self-sound of the clear aspect of awareness arising without cessation, without clinging to the two aspects of examination and contemplation, without binding with the fetters of closeness and state meditation, mental speculation, and definite arising of purification and liberation, abiding clearly without clinging is the method of learning the naturally occurring object of learning; appearing yet without self-nature; non-existent yet appearing clearly without ceasing, are the two; having decided that the unity of clarity and emptiness is the meaning of the spontaneously arising great essence of wisdom, and gradually becoming accustomed to that state from each aspect is the mind of an objective person; entering all at once is the mind of self-appearance, but starting from the former aspect, learning here, for those of medium and superior faculties, or medium and superior habituation, and the latter two views, it is established by the difference of effortlessly arising in the mind, and the nakedly arising awareness. That is the essence of the view of what is to be learned, therefore it is called the object of learning, as it is said in "The Clear Meaning of Freedom from Elaborations": "O, O, son of lineage, what is to be learned is, the state of pure self-nature, the great essence. The naturally pure space and, the dharmata-pure space, the two, the awareness free from conceptualization, the three, indivisible emptiness, without conceptualization, is called the unconditioned state. Self-awareness, wisdom, clarity, and, the four elements arising as sound, the two, the self-nature unceasing wisdom sound, appearing clearly but without self-nature, emptiness not appearing but having self-nature, the meaning of the indivisible great essence, in short, the meaning of self-awareness wisdom." These are the common meanings of calm abiding, special insight, and union, the way of gradually abiding equally and learning in accordance with them is the way of gradual entry because there is meditation. The object of this great essence is: the appearance and emptiness of outer and inner space and awareness, without any rejection, acceptance, or alternation.

In the great treasury, the three bonds of essence, nature, and compassion are shown; in the Kunkyi Gyalpo Tantra, it is said that the essence of mind is how to learn the five great elements, which is the same as the heart essence of this (teaching). Having learned in this way, the signs of warmth of the degree of familiarity and habituation are: awareness does not go under the power of conditions; thoughts are interrupted; conquering signs, and so on. As it is said in the Kunjal Tantra: Knowing does not go under the power of conditions, thoughts are interrupted, and signs are conquered. Signs of warmth arise involuntarily. For those of medium intellect, the meaning of not meditating on continuous samadhi, meditating and not meditating, is the bodhisattva's meditation: nature arises spontaneously, or whether meditating or not, all four activities do not move from the state of the self-appearance of wisdom, signs are naturally liberated, and the three wheels of Dharma nature, clarity, and self-nature are practiced. The method of practice is to look at the sky with the eyes, twist the neck to the right, place the chin on the shoulder, draw and cut off the flow of the three channels of wind, and fill the special waves of the Lord of Death. The degree of proficiency is: the three roots appear in order, prophesying. These are also in order as stated in the Kunjal Tantra: Non-distraction is: even when sitting, one sits without moving from the state of Dharma nature's self-appearance; even when walking, one walks in the self-radiance of wisdom, with nature uninterrupted, just as a lamp or the sun walks from its own appearance; even when sleeping, in the space that does not move from its state, in the state of clear awareness, strength gathers at the base, self-nature merges into the base, signs are naturally liberated, and in meaning, it becomes a great attainment; even when standing, from the state that does not move from its state, awareness arises spontaneously and is clear without interruption. O son of lineage, keep it well in mind! The four activities, even when practiced, do not go beyond one's own radiance and do not move from the state of Dharma nature, just as a bird, no matter where it flies, does not go beyond the sky, a fish, no matter where it swims, does not go beyond the water, and a person, no matter where they go, does not go beyond the earth, and does not move from the state of the enlightened one of transformation. Son of lineage, what is to be meditated upon is: Furthermore, the perfect Buddha is not elsewhere, but is only the self-knowing Dharmakaya. And, the samadhi of the bodhisattva is Buddha and sentient beings.
