has been lost. Furthermore, due to the power of obscurations, errors and mistakes occur. As it is stated in the Tantra of the Razor of Luminous Clarity: "The nature of views is to contemplate the meaning of the self-nature without meditation. If the self-nature without meditation is not understood, it is an obscuration of views. In the nature of primordial equality, one does not look because there is no desire. To look for realization after meditating is a deviation of views. To engage in desire and calculation is said to be an error of views." In summary, the view is to abandon all elaborations of limitation and bias, and without seeing the way of abiding as it is primordially, to settle the mind equally without doubt, following the great seeing. It is necessary to destroy dualistic clinging, otherwise one will wander around. Secondly, for the yogi who continuously practices meditation, there are two general categories. The first is that all the meditations of the other nine vehicles contradict the meaning of the state of being free from effort. Because one does not understand that the great spontaneously accomplished fruit does not need to be accomplished by causes and conditions, and instead one practices, it is a deviation. Because one does not understand the key point of the intention of being primordially accomplished without practice, it is an obscuration. Furthermore, because one is mistaken and lost in the direction of other meditations, it is an error arising from similarity. Therefore, if one knows these meditations, one will not deviate. Knowing these will be explained below as a means of abandonment. Secondly, if we consider the case of Dzogchen with meditation, the common deviations of calm abiding and insight are threefold. Firstly, in the aspect of calm abiding, being obscured by emptiness, mistaking what is not for what is, there are five deviations: If thoughts subside and the mind abides in its own state, this is called dull calm abiding. If one clings to this as the supreme meditation, it is a deviation. The deviation of indifference and laxity is: the mind sinking inward, the one-pointedness of non-thought without self-nature insight is the clinging of non-thought dullness. In the gap between the cessation of past and future thoughts, seeking clarity or hoping to meditate on the invisible ground, meditating in such a state is the clinging of empty meditation dark stone, which is the deviation of emptiness and annihilation. The state of abiding in the alaya-consciousness where the clarity of other thoughts ceasing is not interrupted is the deviation of non-thought confusion. Because nothing that appears as an object has been ascertained, one does not recognize one's own face, and
