From the Tantra of the One with Lips: By abiding in the path of emptiness yoga, it is similar to the mistaken path of the tirthikas. The excellent adornment of the Buddha's body, if I desire it, I am the primordial Buddha. Possessing a wisdom body, without any impurities. Thus it is said. All of these are merely different in the way of viewing emptiness in the yoga of continuous view and practice, therefore they are explained as one. Other than emptiness, viewing the yoga of continuous view and practice as a real entity, clinging to something that seems to exist, and clinging in various ways to the distinctions of mind and awareness, etc., presuming clarity and distinctness, and continuously observing it, one may fall into the seventeen realms of the form realm, or based on the unchanging nature of reality, generate a clinging to permanence. This clinging to permanence arises in the Samkhya and other tirthikas, therefore it is easy to err into considering matter as primary. Moreover, within that, there is a possibility of confusing it with the self-luminous nature of the mind's alaya consciousness. As it is said: The self-mind without conceptualization, and the self-awareness without defilement, are similar, similar, easy to confuse! The alaya is the root of the mind, and self-awareness is the root of the object, are similar, similar, easy to confuse! And, considering the alaya as the dharmakaya is my mistake. As it is said in the Kunzang Tukme. And in the Condensed Intentions of All Buddhas it says: The tirthikas' view of permanence, from the unchanging entity of the ground, through analysis, they see colors and shapes, and engage in the path of mistaken imputation. Thus it is said. This is also a trap of emptiness and form clinging, because the self-radiance of emptiness wisdom, the power of awareness, is grasped as awareness in the manifestation of the mind's alaya consciousness, and because the essence itself is not understood, there is clinging to the nature of reality as a real entity. Even if the mind of grasping and being grasped is made the path, one will not be liberated from samsara, like grasping a snyila of a dakini. As it is said in the Heap of Jewels: Without knowing the essence of the heap of jewels, merely showing the self-radiance of awareness, is like grasping a snyila of a dakini. Thus it is said. If one leaves the mind in such a state, no matter how one abides, one will fall into the category of ordinary worldly samadhi, and will not transcend samsara, and will not be close to the meaning of the nature of reality, because the previous familiarity cannot approach. As it is said: By meditating on samadhi, one does not see the meaning of the nature of reality. And so on. Also, in the practice of continuous view, the self-appearance of the uninterrupted stream is absent, the emptiness of clear appearance.

All appearances and minds, both internal and external, and the essence of self-arisen wisdom, the constant and enduring objects of taming, the consciousness that arises in one's own mind, if one is proud of the wisdom of compassion that tames, and binds oneself with pure conduct of view by observing the discriminating consciousness of acceptance and rejection, then it becomes a fetter of clinging to appearances as true, and one will fall into the place of the six realms of samsara. Therefore, as it is said in the "String of Pearls," if one recites without wisdom, and as it is said in the "Six Spaces," if one does not know the force of self-arisenness, and clings to appearances as the only truth, it is like a tree without life. And as it is said in the "Mirror of the Mind of Kunsang," clinging to appearances as the Dharmakaya is an obstacle to me. These are also as it is said in the "Adornment of Jewels," in the constant yoga of view and practice, there are three kinds of mistakes: if one contemplates emptiness, one falls into the four formless realms; if one contemplates objects, one falls into the seventeen realms of the form realm and matter; if one clings to the appearances of the Lugu Tantra as permanent, one is bound by great attachment and falls into the place of the six realms. This is the meaning. Such mistakes, obscurations, and confusions of view are also obscurations from the aspect of not realizing the nature of view without practice. As it is said in the "Tantra of Turning Back the War of the Asuras," what is called obscuration, obscuration, is the obscuration of ignorance and non-realization. To deviate from the correct path and try to realize by practicing the view is a mistake. As it is said in the "Wisdom Lama," it is deviating from the correct meaning. If one calculates by alternately practicing the two truths with desire, it is confused and mistaken because it is similar to the view of the logicians, and therefore it deviates to other sides. As it is said in the "Six Spaces," similar, similar, it is a mistake, a mistake. This is explaining the nature of mistake, deviation, error, and obscuration by combining the general and the specific. Regarding the way of establishing the three, mistake, obscuration, and confusion, it is also said in the "Clear Light Razor," if one desires the meaning without desire, one enters the path of great desire, and that is called the place of mistake. For the nature free from imputation and depreciation, if one realizes it with words, it is an obscuration. If one does not cut off the imputation of words, it is confusion. Thus, there are also those who deviate to other sides because of mistakes, so error is the basis of confusion.
