So! On the level of rigpa, the appearance of external objects is like the clarity of a mirror, but it does not radiate outwards, while the conceptual mind has the difference of the power of causes and conditions that radiate and flow outwards. Here, although the wisdom of knowing as it is and knowing all that exists is perfectly present, it is not realized because the Buddha's wisdom has not been integrated into the minds of sentient beings, so some think that it has dualistic appearance, some think that there is no omniscient knowledge, and some think that originally the Buddha did not have dualistic appearance. But if it is said that the dualistic grasping of sentient beings is known by the Buddha, then since the Buddha and sentient beings are dualistic, it would be wrong to admit that there is a dualistic grasping of the seer and the seen. In the Six Longchen treatises, it says: Self-awareness is free from thought, and the various feelings of the mind are similar, similar, but mistaken. Again, rigpa self-arises and appears in the realm, and the mind and conceptual thoughts wander freely, the two seem to be similar in radiating, but the appearance of rigpa seems to be knowledge, but in reality it is not knowledge, and it is not suppressed by appearance. Because it does not leave traces, it is unobstructed. But the mind follows external objects, and when it enters external objects, it is suppressed, becoming the root of attachment. In the same treatise, it says: Unconscious rigpa, the appearance of objects, and the delusion of the six realms of thought, are similar, similar, but mistaken. If it is said that all movements are cut off here, so it will become unreal and self-purified, but this is only a symbolic statement. If rigpa has movement, it is no different from conceptual thought, and because it appears as dualistic, if the object and the subject exist, it cannot transcend the grasper and the grasped. If the fault is pointed out, then it will fall into the nature of reality having the grasper and the grasped. Therefore, although the difference between not radiating outwards and not mixing with external objects is distinguished, it is difficult to establish that rigpa radiates but does not mix, because the relationship between the object and the mind has been established. Indeed, because the nature of reality transcends fabrication, if measured from this, then the profound and clear wisdom is also free from the knower and the known, and is the spontaneously accomplished great perfection of rigpa-emptiness.

Therefore, it distinguishes the coarse mind of beings in the desire realm. The oral instruction of the great accomplished Padmasambhava, passed down from the great treasure revealer Sogyal, the venerable Lama Dampa Drayang Gyatso bestowed upon me as a single transmission. Although he did not extensively explain the key points, the slight explanation he gave has a vast oral transmission branch. Furthermore, although rigpa is without conceptualization, it is not without cutting off imputation. Although its nature is clear, it does not grasp or cognize any aspect of habitual tendencies. Compassion and wisdom are self-purified, transcending grasper and grasped, abiding in unwavering, beyond thought, non-conceptual clear emptiness, free from grasping, the triple wisdom. Mind is unpredetermined, and in its own time cannot cut off imputation, or it grasps various appearances as body and mind in the state of habitual tendencies. The mind that arises as conceptual is the root of all movement and also possesses grasper and grasped. It is fine to summarize it like that. In short, mind is the door of how phenomena appear, like a water bubble, and rigpa is the essence of the nature of reality, like water. As it says in Rangshar, "The example of mind and rigpa is like water and a bubble." And as it says in the Jewel Rosary, "If you realize the meaning of delusion itself, you don't need to seek non-deluded rigpa." Here, by dividing into seven parts, it is condensed into three essences. This latter one is shown as a general indication, and by making abiding appearance the main thing, mind and rigpa are distinguished. The first distinguishes the alaya and the dharmakaya, and the fourth distinguishes wisdom and mind. Thus, the difference between the impure triple and the pure triple is distinguished, so all the distinctions are gathered in this essential point. Now, even though the distinction of essence has been made, in the postscript of the Omniscient One's Trekchö, twelve and twelve are established. The essence of mind is ignorance 1, it is the basis of karma and habitual tendencies 2, it is the nature of the delusion of grasper and grasped 3, it is not separated from the extremes of elaboration 4, it is the alaya and the eight consciousnesses 5, it is the two-grasping samsara 6, it is the wind-ridden bindu 7, it is conditioned, arising from causes 8, it depends on rigpa 9, it appears as arising and ceasing 10, it is the obscuration to be abandoned 11, it is sudden, deluded conceptualization 12. The essence of rigpa is wisdom 1, it is not the basis of karma and habitual tendencies 2, because it is free from grasper and grasped, it is the nature of non-delusion 3, it is free from elaboration 4, it is
