Sa! Whose mind and for what mind? Wisdom is not conceptual thought, The essence of self-luminous heart essence. Divisions are considered as three, The definitive word is the meaning of inherent existence, Knowing it as such is wisdom. Thus it is said. Secondly, in distinguishing the specifics: Differentiating mind and rigpa in meaning, Differentiating abiding nature, Differentiating emanating capacity, Differentiating the key of liberation method, Differentiating Alaya and Dharmakaya, Differentiating the time of delusion and liberation, Differentiating the spontaneously accomplished ground and result, Differentiating the primordial purity of path and result, Differentiating the deity of Bardo, Differentiating the breathing pure land, and so on, into ten. Collected in the treasury of precious qualities, From Rangshar it says: Sixteen pairs of definite examples, And from the Klongchen Sixfold Tantra, blocking similar errors by differentiating into sixteen definite meanings. Phadampa Sangye said: The nature of mind is the Alaya, which is the same as ignorance, The capacity is mental events, mind, etc., The manifestation is the conventional delusion. The nature of rigpa is the nature of the union of Dharmadhatu and Primordial Wisdom, the Dharmakaya of Wisdom, The capacity is wisdom, The manifestation is the two truths of excellence, the seven treasures of purity, and the adornment of Samantabhadra is equal. Although all these key points can be determined as one, for the time being, the nature of mind and wisdom, non-conceptual 1, Self-luminous nature 2, The knowing part of consciousness 3, these three distinctions are gathered here, and seven similarities are presented as capacity. Or, differentiating from the nature, there are two statements of the Omniscient One. If we take the first statement, although the non-conceptual of mind and the non-conceptual of rigpa are similar in non-conceptuality, rigpa is transparent, beyond the obscurations of mind, and becomes one with the nature of Dharmata Dharmadhatu, vast and equal. The mind remains stagnant, and the habits of grasping increase over time, swirling in ignorance, unable to penetrate. As the Klong Sixfold says: The stainless self-awareness, The non-conceptual self-mind, Similar, similar, like the hair of a yak. Thus it is said. Differentiating by non-conceptual nature, it is mainly explained from the aspect of grasping the mind of meditative absorption, but this scope is small. From the eight consciousnesses, it should mainly be understood as the non-conceptual Alaya, and it is distinguished from the formless mind. Impurity is conceptual thought. The increase and decrease of clarity and habits are habits. Its distinction

Now, the way is this: From the Tantra of Immaculate Primordial Purity, it says: "Awareness itself is free from elaboration. In the single, primordially pure state, there is no increase or decrease, nor emptiness. Therefore, the ground of all is primordially pure." This is the first point. Secondly, if we differentiate based on the two aspects of abiding and clarity, the aspect of abiding is that awareness is the great contemplation of its own state, free from sinking and excitement, yet without losing the clarity of insight. Therefore, it manifests as the great wisdom of vividly perceiving appearances, with each faculty separately cognizing as primordial wisdom, and so on. Mind, however, is bound by grasping, is sluggish, and is fixated on the stake of objects, accompanied by sinking and excitement. Through meditation, one can distinguish the difference between its essence and contemplation. It says: "The meditation of resting without searching, and the relaxation of the channels, winds, and mind, are similar, similar, a great mistake!" And as it is said: "The uninterrupted nature of contemplation, without sinking or excitement, is truly wondrous!" Furthermore, from the All-Creating King Tantra: "The unmoving, spontaneously accomplished, abiding in its own state, cannot be altered by anyone, as it abides in its own nature. Remaining as it is, without alteration, is taught as the supreme of actions, inaction." This is the second point, differentiating from the aspect of clarity. Awareness is profoundly clear, not scattering to objects, while mind is self-luminous, appearing as the alaya-consciousness. Although both are similar in terms of clarity, whether looking outward or inward, in reality, mind possesses grasping and being grasped, while awareness is free from grasping and being grasped, the nature of the great empty expanse without objects. Distinguished by the primordially pure, self-liberated, free from elaboration, awareness transcends and is not mixed with the wandering of self-cognizant grasping. Otherwise, mind cannot transcend the realm of form, and it should be known that accumulating merit in samsara is unnecessary. In the Six Spaces Tantra, it says: "The unobstructed, profoundly clear appearance, and the clinging thoughts of beings, are similar, similar, a great mistake!" This is the third point, from the aspect of compassion, the wisdom of awareness itself is the great perfection of empty clarity, self-liberation, without traces, and spontaneously accomplished. Mind, however, scatters to objects, and through conceptual thought, it continuously grasps external objects as immediate conditions, one after the other. This is the difference. Wisdom is self-perfected, while the mind's thoughts are scattered outward. They are similar, similar, a great mistake! Furthermore, from the Tantra of Immaculate Primordial Purity, it says: "From the wisdom without arising or ceasing, the clear wisdom light without partiality shines forth. Awareness is empty clarity, free from elaboration, and the mind's consciousness is primordially pure."
