When one thinks that it has ceased and disappeared, one examines whether the three—outer, inner, and intermediate—exist or not, the direction and part, and where the object and mind dissolve. Having determined that it is not established anywhere, one realizes the intention of the incarnate Lhundrup. In the Guhyagarbha Tantra, it says, "In the very coming and going, there is no coming and going." The Root Wisdom says, "There is no coming and no going." The Self-Arisen says, "The Buddha's intention is self-arisen, without birth. The great self-arisen, without abiding or coming and going, is the great self-arisen because it is without grasping or attachment. Know it in the state of mindless awareness." These are also taught in the Garland, "The root of the mind is the expanse of wisdom. Ignorance pursues the end like threads." The Ambrosia Ocean says, "The root of that enemy, the self-grasping, is cut off and dies." It also says, "When the enemy self-grasping is present, with the wisdom sword of the naturally clear executioner, cut off its neck, extract its heart with a vajra hook, and cut off the life of ignorant self-grasping, the root of birth and death is severed and dissolves into the expanse." Having thus determined it, one realizes that the grasped and the grasper are nowhere to be found, and thus one is certain that one has realized the view of the Great Middle Way. Nowadays, those who seek the mind, saying that this is the Nyingma fools' doctrine of no-self, those who seek fault with the all-knowing Buddha, know that they are certainly holding onto the view of self. Why? Because the all-knowing one said in the Ratnakuta Sutra, "Light Protector, what is the medicine that transcends the world? It is the diligence of thoroughly seeking the mind." And so on. In accordance with the treatises of the superiors, Maitreya asked, "The mind is without form, without color," and so on. In the previous sutra, it says, "It is not blue, it is not yellow," and so on, extensively. Also, the examples of a dog chasing a stone and a lion killing the thrower are said to be because of incorrect views, and one should see that their minds are driven by the heretical gods. Moreover, this is certainly a demon that cuts off the life-force of liberation, because in that very sutra it says, "For example, Rahu harms the life-force, but does not give happiness. Similarly, if the view of self arises from within, it destroys the life-force of the Dharma." Shantideva also said, "Warmth and fingernails are not self," and so on. Furthermore, there is the saying, "The peak of the mountain of the view of the aggregates."

The twenty-one high positions are also destroyed by the wisdom vajra, and the power is so great that the dust settles, so that externalists cannot harm them. After thus ascertaining, for the appearance of external phenomena, distinguish between general and specific aspects, or in any way, observe with the vajra eye. Observe with the eye of wisdom or the mind, and whatever appears, realize it as the play of Dharma-nature, the great realm of appearance and emptiness without extremes, this is the true realization, namely the view of phenomena. Also, look inward at one's own mind, thereby ascertaining, seeing emptiness free from elaboration, and realizing it as unborn and boundless, this is the meaning of realization. This view is called the Dharma-nature view. From here on, what is recognized in oneself is the coemergent wisdom of indivisible realm and awareness, primordially pure and spontaneously accomplished, which transcends thought and mind, and directly sees the great realization of stainless transparency, namely the view of self-awareness. Here also, determining samsara and nirvana as mind is the view of phenomena. Searching for faults and examining the three places of origin and destination is the Dharma-nature view. Recognizing wisdom as self-awareness is the self-awareness view, which is introduced. This is the connection and display of the upper and lower two. As it is said, in sequence, in the secret of the Great Self-Arisen Tantra: Phenomena appear as characteristics, the eye faculty is not obscured, the view of the mind is very good. One's own awareness is clear, it is the illusion of external appearance, from the non-conceptual clarity, if one recognizes it as the Great Self-Born, it is the view of phenomena. It is also said that Dharma-nature and phenomena arise from not understanding one, and liberation will occur by understanding one. Thus, realizing the meaning of unborn, it is called the view of Dharma-nature. It is also said that when causes and conditions come together, self-awareness is realized, in the non-conceptual clarity, the clinging conceptual thoughts naturally disappear, the non-clinging self-clarity abides as it is, the Dharma of non-clinging and non-coming and going is the intention of all Buddhas. The great non-conceptual self-clarity is the light in the immovable sky. The yogi who realizes thus is the view of self-awareness. And so on. The third meaning is to recognize wisdom as self-awareness, which has two aspects, the first is necessity: In general, nowadays, some who claim to be learned search for诀窍 from books, and although they also collect some patches, these alone cannot
