Just as it pervades like the sky, all the obscuring, adventitious stains like clouds are cleared away and pacified by the wind-like means of dispelling the obstacles of the two accumulations of merit and wisdom. When the essence, like the sun, manifests its nature of light and rays, it is merely verbally referred to as attaining the fruit of the three bodies of a Buddha. However, in its essence, it has not become better than before, nor has it gained anything from elsewhere. Therefore, it abides in the completely pure nature of Suchness, which is without before or after, and is called "the very nature that is not other." As it says in the Uttaratantra: "Since there is no difference between before and after, the Suchness is pure." And as it says in the Sutra Revealing the Essence: "Outside the realm of sentient beings, the Dharmakaya is not other. The realm of sentient beings is the Dharmakaya, and the Dharmakaya is the realm of sentient beings. This is non-duality in meaning, only different in name." And: "As it was in the beginning, so it is later; the unchanging nature of reality is thus." However, to think that the Dharmakaya is merely an expression of the Dharmadhatu is wrong. For all the qualities of the marks and signs of the Sambhogakaya are also present in the body of sentient beings, which is the basis. As it says in the Nirvana Sutra: "Son of good family, within the bodies of all sentient beings are the ten powers, the thirty-two marks, and the eighty minor marks of excellence." And as it says in the Sutra Beneficial to Angulimala: "All sentient beings have the stainless essence, the essence of the Buddha, the essence adorned with infinite marks and signs of excellence." Therefore, it is merely through the purification of the stains of the essence that it becomes manifest, and it does not need to be made better by the path. As it says in the former: "It should not be said that it does not have the Buddha-nature. Son of good family, the Buddha-nature is like this: the ten powers, the four fearlessnesses, great compassion, and the three mindfulnesses. All sentient beings have these three aspects, and if they can destroy the afflictions, they will be able to see the demons." And as it says in the Tantra of All-Encompassing Wisdom: "Explanatory teachings accumulate merit and are the cause of distraction; the Rupakaya does not arise from the two accumulations; therefore, it is a causeless result. Although the three bodies have different purposes for benefiting beings, they exist primordially without arising from causes and conditions." And as it says in the Sutra of the Gathering of Intentions:

Noble individuals, how should one cultivate the essence of bodhichitta? Answer: It cannot be cultivated. Question: Why can't it be cultivated? Answer: Because it is already accomplished. Question: How is it already accomplished? Answer: Because it does not come from elsewhere, nor does it come from oneself, it is without effort, and it is self-born, so it is certain that it is inherently realized. As it is said: Like sudden thick clouds in the sky, similarly, sudden thoughts obscure (the nature). Like clouds clearing in the clear sky, when thoughts clear, the natural clarity (appears). Therefore, at the ground stage, the essence of self-born wisdom is the body, the nature is light and speech, compassion is awareness and light bindu, the retinue abiding as the nature of the heart, light arises from the five wisdoms of the heart, and its essence is the five bodies, the three bodies possessing the great ground, that ground previously described, is free from all obscurations including ignorance and habitual tendencies, and the natural increase of its own power and qualities is the fruit, and by establishing the progression of its vision becoming better and better as the path, it is called the inseparability of ground, path, and fruit. In the Compendium of Qualities it says: Like the fruit of the panasa tree, cause, condition, and fruit are not different, similarly, ground, path, and fruit are also, because the essence is the same, there is no separation. As it is said: The ground itself shown above, and the experience that is cultivated, because it is the ultimate fruit, the path itself is the path, the path itself is the ground, knowing that one is the supreme fruit, that itself is cause and effect of one taste, enlightenment in an inferior body. The above is the fourth root chapter, explaining the source from which these chapters arise: Thus, these three suchness divided into ground, path, and fruit, is also the common intention of the three sutras, illusions, and mind, as explained in the explanation of the suchness of illusion. In the Great Sutra it says: Suchness is uncreated (Tibetan: མ༵་བཅོ༵ས་, Sanskrit Devanagari: असंस्कृत, Sanskrit Romanization: asamskrita, Chinese literal meaning: uncreated), unerring (Tibetan: མ༵་ནོར༵་, Sanskrit Devanagari: अविपरीत, Sanskrit Romanization: aviparīta, Chinese literal meaning: unerring), not other (Tibetan: གཞ༵ན་མ༵་ཡིན༵་པ༵་, Sanskrit Devanagari: अनन्य, Sanskrit Romanization: ananya, Chinese literal meaning: not other). In particular, in the Great Perfection Compendium of Qualities it says: The ground that has always been present, is primordially uncreated (Tibetan: མ༵་བཅོས༵་, Sanskrit Devanagari: असंस्कृत, Sanskrit Romanization: asamskrita, Chinese literal meaning: uncreated) self-born. And, in the Definitive Meaning Gathering it says: The body of self-born essence, because it is uncreated (Tibetan: མ༵་བཅོ༵ས་, Sanskrit Devanagari: असंस्कृत, Sanskrit Romanization: asamskrita, Chinese literal meaning: uncreated), the meaning is unadulterated, therefore unerring (Tibetan: མ༵་ནོར༵་, Sanskrit Devanagari: अविपरीत, Sanskrit Romanization: aviparīta, Chinese literal meaning: unerring) as it is, uninterrupted, that is also the nature of reality. And, in the Gathering of Intentions it says: Originally uncreated (Tibetan: མ༵་བཅོ༵
