Thus, to utilize the emptiness devoid of cause and effect as the field of activity, as stated in "Kunsel": The activity of the essence of reality is like the unconditioned sky. Without regarding phenomena as characteristics, the yogi, with uncontaminated wisdom, acts like the unreal sky. Secondly, the activity of self-aware wisdom: abiding in the state of being primordially liberated through the three key points, all bodies of the outer, inner, and intermediate realms are enlightened in the essence of the unconditioned mother, and the essence of the Dharmadhatu is free from elaboration. With the two key points of being primordially liberated, one does not revert to the forms of the six realms, and all sounds of speech are primordially liberated into the essence of Vajra Speech, the key points of the sound and meaning of Āli and Kālī, and the essence of sound, the two key points of sound-emptiness being free from expression, liberate speech into clarity and purity. All conceptual thoughts of the mind, with the intention of abiding in the state of reality, the two key points of being liberated without wavering from Dharmata and wisdom, make it unnecessary to liberate again later. As stated in "The Rosary of Pearls": The extreme of attachment is meditation itself; without moving the limbs, one has already gone forth; the path of beings is inherently traversed. The spoken word is inexpressible; inherently, speech transcends thought. The arising and ceasing of thought is inherently empty; inherently, one abides in great contemplation. All stains are self-purifying, so it is said. How does one abide in that state? All phenomena encompassed by outer and inner appearances and consciousness are the self-radiance of self-aware wisdom. Knowing that the appearance of the Sambhogakaya, the basis of appearance, is already liberated in the primordial state, one does not strive for liberation, nor engage in negation, affirmation, acceptance, or rejection. The unceasing nature of wisdom is like a mirror, and the arising of images in the form of self-appearing phenomena is allowed to abide without attachment or aversion. The obscurations of the maturation of the eight aggregates of consciousness and the five skandhas produced by ignorance, along with their habitual tendencies, do not defile it, and the self-awareness that has never been deluded is inherently clear light. As it is said: Abiding in this way is the basis of non-delusion; self-awareness is inherently clear light. And as it is said in the Vast Expanse of Space: In the teaching of all being primordially liberated, again, a single black "ti" arises. It is the arising of blessings, the great lineage of the fruit of primordial liberation, arising naturally or forcefully. Such great primordial liberation

With the confidence of knowing that there is no need to engage in the act of liberating by entrusting oneself to the great lineage, when the outer appearances and inner awareness meet and arise, by knowing that it is without basis, one rests without any judgment or grasping, and abides in the state of recognizing the arising of pristine awareness from the nature of self-liberation. As it says in "Transcending the Intellect": "The ultimate of the Great Perfection of self-nature is to leave all phenomena in their own place. Because appearance and awareness are the union of dharmata, primordial liberation is the very state of resting. Its realization transcends the intellect, and what has characteristics is purified in its own place. The extremes of emptiness and entities are liberated, agitation ceases, there is no thought, the intellect ceases, and it transcends the mind." Also, as it says in "A Rosary of Pearls": "The five elements themselves are primordially pure, and appearances are liberated into clear light. The five faculties themselves are left as they are, and the five objects of grasping are liberated in their own place." Also, as it says in "All-Illuminating": "The practice of self-cognizant wisdom is like a precious mirror. The nature of wisdom is unceasing, and one practices with self-appearances and self-arising, free from attachment and aversion." Also, as it says in "The Great Garuda": "The basis of the complete liberation of signs, which are primordially pure, is to eliminate the obstacles of the mind with effortless, actionless activity. The cessation of enjoying objects is the meeting of the three aspects. Whatever arises is not distracted, and the object and mind are bound together." Therefore, this Great Perfection of primordial liberation is taught as relying solely on the confidence of realizing the way things are, the state of the basis, the nature of things, as they are, and not entirely relying on the act of liberating through view, meditation, and action. Secondly, regarding the practice of cultivating confidence in the Great Self-Liberation of the Path, in the great self-abiding without antidotes: first, generally explaining the meaning of the Great Self-Liberation; and second, explaining the intention in detail. First, in general, within the common vehicle and the outer and inner tantras, etc., abandoning afflictions, subduing them with antidotes, purifying, transforming, letting them subside on their own, abiding in their own nature, and transforming afflictions into dharmata—if one does not understand that these afflictions have been pure from the beginning, never having existed, then one cannot abandon them by abandoning them. If one abandons them with the mind, then the object to be abandoned and the antidote are of the same substance, which is not permissible. If one abandons them with wisdom, then the object to be abandoned and the antidote cannot meet, which is not appropriate. The earlier and later minds contradict each other in time, so one cannot abandon them. It is not permissible because existing simultaneously in the same continuum would be confusing. Furthermore, since the mind arises like the body and its shadow, there is no time of abandonment, etc. Therefore, one should understand the key point of self-liberation as being like a drawing in water.
