Alas! Self-nature! From the manifestation of the originally pure Dharma-nature, it is not a confused inequality, but abides in the unadorned, equal great nature of the natural state, and the yogi's mind also has no dualistic elaboration, and without blocking, without attachment to the objects of the five senses, gradually or simultaneously in the wisdom of self-awareness, without meditating, without observing, without blocking, without thinking, entering in the manner of wisdom self-awareness, that is it. It is said in the scriptures: The characteristic manifestation of meditation is: In the nature of emptiness and clarity, not mixed with any self-nature, the extremes of grasping and holding are exhausted, and the Dharma-nature is self-nature pure! Manifestation is not confused, in the self-nature of pure causes and conditions, after the self-nature of reality and unreality is pure, the attachment to the objects of the five senses is pure, and the arising awareness is pure, and it shows the increasing manifestation of pure wisdom, that is the Dharma-nature of exhaustion! Thus it is said. For example, just as extinguishing the flame by pressing down the wick of a lamp, cutting off the continuum of conceptual thoughts; just as mixing water and milk, mixing the mind with the meaning of the union of calm abiding and insight; just as a jewel in clear water, distinguishing between mind and mind-nature; just as a lamp in a vase, not falling into the deep, clear, uninterrupted center of calm abiding. It is said in All-Illuminating: Four metaphors symbolize meditation, namely, pressing down the wick of a lamp, mixing water and milk, like a jewel in clear water, like a lamp in a vase. Thus it is said. The call is, it is said in All-Illuminating: Kye! Secret Lord, please be sure to remember! Where does the so-called "intention" come from? Meditation, contemplation, Samadhi, not distracted, not overflowing, without separation, being in a state of abiding, familiarization, and maturity, where do these come from? Combine the words of the call and explain. Thus it is said. Furthermore, deviating from the clear mind, understanding the three aspects of arising, ceasing, and abiding of conceptual thoughts, and then counting, this practice of the continuum of conceptual thoughts cannot stay for a moment; and practicing in infinite emptiness, the part below the secret key, like throwing a dark stone, cannot see the nature of the view; and practicing the generation and completion stages, etc., is to take what is not as what is; and practicing without losing the nature of any of the three states of grasping and holding mind, this is because it is hoped that from the inferior samsaric mind-ground, the true and complete Buddha's intention will arise, therefore, striving through the four ways of abiding.

Those who meditate on separation do so because of the difference between high and low. From that itself, the meditation of continuous conceptualization is shown to be like a monkey. Meditating on emptiness without end is like a vulture searching for the edge of the sky. Meditating on the characteristics of grasping and being grasped is like turning water into fire. Meditating on the clarity of grasping and being grasped is like a servant pretending to be a master. Meditating on effortless abiding is shown to be like a lion. Thus it is said. Secondly, in non-meditation, there are five aspects: essence, definition, division, analogy, and appellation. First, the essence is the self-knowing wisdom realm, the great union of awareness, the naturally inherent, uninterrupted meditation, which is the nature of the Buddha's intention as it is. As it is said in 'Meaning Clear': The essence is self-knowing, uninterrupted. Thus it is said. The definition is: because one does not fixate on any aspect of clarity, such as converting colors and letters into emptiness, clarity, and bliss, through the gates of object, faculty, and attention; and because one does not deviate from the state of realization; and because it does not need to be accomplished. As it is said in 'That Itself': Because one does not fixate, it is the definition of non-meditation; because one does not deviate from the state, and because it does not need to be done. Thus it is said. The divisions are: non-meditation with characteristics, such as the completion stage of realization, the generation and completion stages of confident transformation; and non-meditation without characteristics, which is the spontaneously accomplished stage, the second stage of the second stage. These two non-meditations of the Great Perfection have two views: the view of abiding in non-meditation on the nature, and the view of the transformation of space through realization, making four in total. As it is said in the 'Tantra of Great Clarity Beyond Elaboration': The divisions of non-meditation are of two kinds: non-meditation with characteristics and non-meditation without characteristics. Each one is shown to have two aspects: non-meditation on the nature and non-meditation through realization. Thus it is said. Fourth, the analogy is that once a yogi knows that awareness has the great, uninterrupted meditation of its own nature, it is never interrupted by sinking, agitation, conceptualization, etc., and because it does not separate, it always abides in the meaning, and the analogy of naturally appearing without meditation. As it is said in 'That Itself': The analogy of uninterrupted non-meditation is shown to be like a river. Without meditation, without separating from the meaning,
