In the essence of Dharmata's space, in the great equality of becoming one, the mind is sluggishly abiding, the grasping and the grasped, habitual tendencies long gone and swirling, the difference of completely transcending ignorance is: In the Six Spaces it says: "The stainless self-awareness and, the non-conceptual self-mind, are similar, similar, like twins." Thus it is said. To distinguish by the nature of non-discrimination is mainly explained from the part of grasping the Samadhi mind, but this scope is small. From the eight consciousnesses, it should mainly be understood as the non-conceptual Alaya, which is established as distinct from the formless mind. Defilement is conceptual thought. The increase and decrease of pure habitual tendencies are habitual tendencies. The way to distinguish them is: In the Stainless Primordial Purity Tantra it says: "Awareness is the very nature of being free from elaboration, in the one and only pure from the beginning, since there is no increase or decrease of emptiness, the Alaya is pure from the beginning." Thus it is said. If analyzed from the perspective of the two, it is to distinguish from the two aspects of abiding and clarity. In terms of abiding, awareness is the great Samadhi of self-abiding, free from dullness and agitation, and without losing the clarity of insight, the vast wisdom of appearance clinging, each manifesting as discriminating wisdom, and so on. The mind is bound by grasping, it is sluggish, that is, it is tied to the stake of the object, accompanied by dullness and agitation. Through practice, the difference of Samadhi is distinguished from the essence. In the same treatise it says: "The meditation of not seeking and abiding and, the rest of the pulse-energy-mind, are similar, similar, like twins." And as it is said: "The uninterrupted nature of Samadhi, without dullness or agitation, is very wonderful." And in the All-Creating King Tantra it says: "Abiding in its own state, unmoving, spontaneously accomplished, because it abides in its own nature, no one can change it, that which abides unchanged as it is, in non-action it is shown as the most excellent." Thus it is said. Secondly, to distinguish from the aspect of clarity: Awareness is deeply clear, not scattered to external objects, and the mind is self-luminous, the two manifestations of Alaya consciousness, although similar in terms of clarity, but whether looking outward or inward, in reality, there is a mind with grasping and the grasped, and the great essence of the empty clarity without objects, free from grasping and the grasped, with the difference of non-elaboration, self-liberation, and primordial purity, awareness transcends and is not mixed with the playful dance of clinging appearances, therefore it is more excellent. Otherwise, one cannot transcend the mind of the form realm, and one should know that accumulating merit in Samsara is unnecessary.

In the Sixth Chapter of the Void it says: Unobstructed, deeply clear appearance, and the clinging of sentient beings' mind streams, are similar, similar, truly an illusion! Thus it is said. Third, regarding the wisdom of compassion and awareness, wisdom itself is the great expanse of thorough clarity, self-liberation, tracelessness, and complete potential. The difference is that the mind scatters towards objects, and through conceptual thought, it continuously connects the preceding and following moments as conditions, clinging to external objects. Wisdom's own potential is complete, and the mind's memory is lost outwards, are similar, similar, truly an illusion! Thus it is said. In the Sutra of Immaculate Primordial Purity it says: From the wisdom without arising or ceasing, clear wisdom without partiality appears. Awareness is thoroughly clear and without elaboration, and the mind's consciousness is pure from the beginning. Thus it is said. On the level of awareness, the appearance of objects is like the clarity of a mirror, but it does not scatter outwards, while the discriminating thought of the mind has the power of conditions to scatter and move outwards. Here, although the wisdom of knowing as it is exists perfectly, it is not understood because the Buddha's wisdom has not entered the minds of sentient beings. Some see it as dualistic, some see it as lacking omniscience, and some see it as the Buddha originally having no dualistic appearance. However, if the dualistic grasping of sentient beings is said to be the Buddha's wisdom, then the Buddha and sentient beings become dualistic. Therefore, if one admits that there is dualistic grasping of the seer and the seen, then it is excessive. In the Sixth Chapter of the Great Expanse of Void it says: Self-aware awareness free from thought, and the various arising feelings of the mind, are similar, similar, truly an illusion! Thus it is said. Furthermore, awareness arises spontaneously and appears in objects, and the mind's conceptual thoughts are lost on their own. Although the two appear to be similar in scattering, awareness, although similar in form to conceptual thought, is not actually realization, and is not overwhelmed by appearances. Because it does not cling, it is unimpeded. But the mind follows external objects, and because it is immersed in external objects, it is overwhelmed by them, becoming the root of attachment. In that very text it says: Unmindful awareness, the appearance of objects, and mindful thought, the delusion of the six realms, are similar, similar, truly an illusion! Thus it is said. Regarding this, even if one says that all movements are completely eradicated, thereby achieving self-purification of non-existence, this is only a symbolic expression. If awareness has movement, then it is no different from conceptual thought, and because there is dualistic appearance, if it exists in the object and the subject, then it cannot transcend the grasped and the grasper. So, what fault is there in that?
