Achieving excellence through this gateway is the meaning of being timely. The five complete requisites are: as stated in the Guhyagarbha Tantra, "The five rituals are," and as stated in the Lamrim, "Clothing, adornments, food, drink, and secrets, as well as the five implements for practice, mandala implements, offerings, the basis for accomplishment, and the removal of obstacles, pure implements should be gathered." Thus, sustenance, food, medicine to avert obstacles, materials for practice, and implements for offerings, or, being embraced by the omniscient Tsongkhapa and his disciples, receiving empowerment, abiding in vows, being skilled in the essential instructions for practice, and possessing complete diligence, these are the five rituals. A place, harmonious intentions, and a friend possessing qualities. (Note) A livelihood free from wrong livelihood, complete materials for accomplishment, and the gathering of materials through vows, these are the five requisites. One's own deity, through recitation, the secret mantra, gathering and dissolving, that is the Tathagatagarbha, these are the five complete limbs, or, as some say, great emptiness, Samantabhadra, syllables, complete body, these are the five rituals. Food and drink, dance, clothing and adornments, Ali, Kali, these are the five requisites. Within the limbs, generate the mandala of ten deities, within the limbs of realization, know the forty-two deities, each deity also divided into forty-two deities, the blessing of their body, speech, and mind, the empowerment of the five families, thus it is also considered that these are the five limbs of mantra. Thus, based on the foundation of the five perfections, secondly, placing it within the framework of the main preparation, which has two parts: preliminary rituals and the main sequence, of which the first is: land examination, cleansing, subjugation, protection, and the five rituals that precede them. Secondly, the main sequence has nine parts, namely: demarcation, preparation, establishing the basis, arranging the ornaments, entering, consecration, mixing and adding, blessing, and bestowing blessings. Thus, after the preparation of performing them properly and completely is finished, thirdly, straightening the outline of the four branches of the main practice of approach and accomplishment, in general, there are many classifications, such as, that also through the combination of path practice, etc. Although there are combinations of four and four for the time of the path, the time of combination, and the time of practice, here, in relation to the situation of the great practice, only what is constantly needed is explained, as the practice manual says: Because it is related to the arrangement of the sequence, it is called approach.

It is said. Entering the secret door and possessing blessings is called approaching practice. Not being distracted by obstacles anywhere, and holding the two principles of purity, it is called practice. Yogis who possess the power of warmth and bliss are said to be great practitioners. As it is said. First, there are ground rituals, etc., and the outer boundary is established with the four great kings. The inner boundary is cut off by the sight of flames. The intermediate boundary is established by suppressing demons and affixing boundary markers, etc., which are branches of the practice of recitation. Drawing mandalas, decorating with blessings, and blessing offerings are all part of the approaching practice. Then, in four or six sessions, the activities are carried out straightforwardly, with the recitation of mantras with the three clarities as the main focus, along with gathering feasts, expulsions, etc. Practicing for six or seven days is practice. On the final night, at dusk, one takes siddhis from the deity, at midnight from the enemy, and at dawn from the mudra, and bestowing empowerments on others is related to great practice. Furthermore, based on a single ritual such as the basic practice, the Secret Tantra of Vajrakila says: Generating samadhi is practice, visualizing oneself as the deity is approaching practice, generating the mother is known as practice, and all others are great practice. Also, in the first session, whichever deity it is, one begins the practice based on the pride of that deity, which is practice. Up to half the number of days of practice is approaching practice. Then, except for the final night, one invokes and gathers siddhis, which is practice. Taking siddhis on the final night is great practice, etc. Among these, in the first two, between the self and the front, with the three clarities, the emission and absorption of white light make the continuum suitable as a vessel for siddhis, which is the activity of the body. During the practice, the emission and absorption of red light invoke the three siddhis. Finally, without emitting outward, but only gathering siddhis in the form of blue light, this alone is done, which is a branch of great practice, and is the practice of the siddhi of the mind. As it is said in the Lamrim: Half a month, half a month is approaching practice, clearly visualizing the deity, emitting and absorbing light to become a vessel. The latter half of the fifteenth is practice, emitting and absorbing light alternately. When the number of days is complete and signs appear, taking siddhis is great practice. Thus, it is said by giving the example of one month, and the other four branches of recitation practice are known there. Thus, the practice of recitation.
