Having spoken thus, the assembled multitude inquired: "Bhagavan, that which causes doubt is not definite. Since the Buddhas, the Bhagavans, are definite, do they speak within this wheel of Dharma that is not definite?" The Bhagavan replied: "O assembled multitude, I say that all dharmas are without definiteness. Why is that? Because there is no dharma that is permanently existent. Therefore, your respective vows are also without definiteness. In the countless instances of taking and relinquishing, other than this birth, each birth is different. Likewise, inclinations, actions, fortune, places, classes, appearances, lineages, colors, livelihoods, views, and behaviors are all different. So now, what exactly do you want to make definite? Therefore, I say that all dharmas are without definiteness." Then the assembled multitude inquired: "Then, Bhagavan, if we hold our vows with definiteness, what will happen?" The Bhagavan replied: "Assembled multitude, consider this: The vow of the five inexpiable sins is: Vow, samadhi, wisdom, possess bodhicitta and compassion, without interruption, continuously. This is the vow of inexpiability. The vow of great attachment is: From samsara and the nature of reality, wisdom and compassion are not abandoned. This is the vow of attachment. Mother, daughter, sister, etc., the nature of reality and the five wisdoms, the wisdom that arises from oneself, is taught as the treasury of suchness. If one shows that there is no arising, not taking the lord of the life force, the continuum of birth is cut off, and all is destroyed into emptiness, that is called the slayer of life. From non-existence, showing existence, in existence, saying non-existence, is the teaching of all the Victorious Ones, it is the great vow of deception. In the wish-fulfilling jewel of another, with the light of rejoicing, having taken and established as bodhi, taking that with an iron hook is the vow of taking what is not given. If one desires that great bliss, practicing wrongly with attachment to signs, practicing wrongly with desire, is the great vow of union. Vow, samadhi, wisdom, the nature of mind, the five great compassions, great meat, excrement, urine.

Semen and blood. These five mixtures are the requisites for all dharmas. If these requisites are lacking, then things will not be accomplished. The requisites for wrong livelihood are also, from views and afflictions, afflictions arise. Mixing seven and five desires, it is also proclaimed in this way, it will become samsara. The practice of five wrong views is known as the five impure meats. Therefore, because the view is impure, it is impure compared to the correct view. The Blessed One said this, and the assembled beings, seeing the meaning of no birth, were greatly amazed and requested: Blessed One, then are these vows of ours not proclaimed in the Great Vehicle? The Blessed One replied: The vows of the various assembled groups have not completely prohibited the perfection of the Great Vehicle. They requested: Blessed One, for what reason has it not been prohibited, please explain. The Blessed One replied: Just as the nature of space is such that phenomena and existence are not prohibited from appearing, so too in this space of the Great Vehicle, all views and practices are not prohibited. Therefore, everything is the appearance of space, and after saying this, all the assembled beings were satisfied and amazed and wept. Then, the Blessed One, knowing, asked: Assembled beings, what have you heard that you weep? They requested: Blessed One, such a great and long-lasting meaning has not been shown to us before, how unkind. The Blessed One replied: Assembled beings, each one's own space is only obscured by their own sudden darkness. When each one's own space appears, who needs to show it to whom? After saying this, whoever's ignorance is what, that itself will become awareness. Gathering the four postures, striking the limbs on the ground, offering the body as a seat, purifying the obscurations of afflictions, and purifying the obscurations of knowledge by listening to the Dharma with the ears. Completely accomplishing the activity of the lion of the vidyadhara's body, and the footstool of the horse and elephant, etc. From the Great Sutra of the Gathering of the Intentions of All Buddhas, the thirty-sixth chapter, the chapter on dispelling ignorance and liberating through concordant conduct. The sixth fascicle ends. Then, the lord of Lanka, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva
