If (the deity) does not manifest, what need to mention us (ordinary beings)? The one who shows existence, Vajrasattva, that very one, is the supreme virtuous friend of all Buddhas. We are certain that our wisdom will realize this truth, so we contemplate. Then, those noble beings prayed to the Bhagavan, that very one, saying: Bhagavan, the supreme secret mantra, that very one, transcends all expression and cannot be spoken, therefore it is extremely difficult to show and examine. However, Bhagavan is the object of great wisdom, cuts off all doubts, and is the supreme of the supreme. Therefore, we will surely realize this wisdom. Please show us the supreme means, the supreme equality. After praying in this way, the Bhagavan, that very one, spoke: Noble beings, well done! It is certain! Like this, the supreme secret mantra, that very one, is free from all speculation, does not see the edge and the center, has no addition or subtraction, has no taking or leaving, transcends cause and effect, is pure from the beginning, is accomplished from the beginning, has no action, has no seeking, cannot be cultivated, cannot be created, does not arise from others, has no antidote, has no doer, is not made, is not examined, is selfless, is not changed, is not defiled, it is certain that it is that, there is no mistake, as it is, does not cease, is not born, does not decay, is not lost, does not appear, has never been, does not go, abides from the beginning, pervades all, is nameless, is formless, has no characteristics, has no words, cannot be seen, cannot be taken, cannot be expressed, has no analogy, has no limit, cannot be observed, transcends discrimination, cannot be measured, is inconceivable, is the realm of the inconceivable, the source of all, in all places is great equality, the emptiness of one's own awareness, is self-born. After speaking thus, the noble beings understood that all dharmas have no taking or leaving, and they were amazed and became doubtful. Alas! We, from the noble ones, as we have heard before, the noble ones of the past took enlightenment and abandoned afflictions. That is the complete realization of wisdom, so we have heard. But this great being has no difference between afflictions and enlightenment, so
