Cannot be expressed in words. From the vast center of the Dharma-nature void, With the clear light of the wisdom sun, With the rays of the lamp of compassion, Dispelling the darkness of ignorance, completely manifest. Having said this, the heroes of body and mind, such as the Lord of Lanka, were able to breathe freely without relying on other powers. In the Great Sutra that gathers the intentions of all Buddhas, the eighth chapter is the chapter on revealing the nature of secret mantras. In the way of definitely arising of the Great Vehicle, the story of arranging the lamps is told, and the wisdom of the Dharma seal is discussed, which is the second chapter on showing the way of arising. End of the second fascicle. Then, the Lord of Lanka again asked the Lord of Secrets, asking about the third of the twelve sentences previously spoken, with what certainty was obtained and the reason for arising again. The Lord of Secrets replied: Hey! Lord of Secrets, you prophesied by revealing the reason for the arising of the Great Vehicle secret and profound. When speaking of the prophecy, with what certainty was obtained and the reason for arising again, how is that which is placed obtained and called certainty? Answered: Lord of Lanka, with what certainty is obtained the non-reversed certainty of the nature of the secret mantra Vajrasattva, that is the very nature. Again asked: Lord of Secrets, from where does the nature of the secret mantra Vajrasattva come? Where does it dwell? Where does it appear? How does it arise? The Lord of Secrets replied: Hey! Lord of Lanka, the nature of the secret mantra Vajrasattva comes from the realm of both samsara and nirvana. It dwells in the minds of all Buddhas and the minds of all sentient beings. It appears in infinite Buddha-fields. Primordially as it is Sanskrit Romanization: yathā tathatā, Chinese literal meaning: as it is, as it is) and, it arises naturally in the pure continuum. The Lord of Lanka again asked: Lord of Secrets, where should the certainty of Vajrasattva be established? The Lord of Secrets replied: Lord of Lanka, Vajrasattva is liberated from the nature of one and different, the Dharma-nature of all dharmas is unmade and unpolluted. That which naturally abides in the Bodhi of the heart is called the Primordially As It Is Vajrasattva. In what situation is the Dharma-nature of the minds of all sentient beings seen, that is called the Vajrasattva of the Pure Continuum.

Likewise, all Buddhas also appear as the Buddhas of pure lineage, just as they are. Therefore, the certainty of Vajrasattva should be established in the suchness of all things as they are. Again, the Lord of Lanka asked: Lord of Secrets, what is the nature of the mind of all sentient beings? What is seen when that is seen? Thus he asked. The Lord of Secrets said: Lord of Lanka, seeing the suchness of all sentient beings is seeing. The suchness of all sentient beings is unsurpassed enlightenment. In that, not even a speck of dharma is seen. That is the nature of space. In that, there is neither one who attains enlightenment nor anything to be enlightened. In that, there are neither sentient beings nor the imputation of sentient beings. There is neither dharma nor the imputation of dharma. Why is that? All dharmas are the nature of enlightenment, and enlightenment is the nature of space, and space is devoid of all characteristics. Therefore, enlightenment should be sought in the mind. Since that mind is completely pure by nature, it is not within, not without, and neither is perceived. That mind is not seen by the Buddhas, is not seen, and will not be seen. How is it not seen? It is not seen as color, it is not seen as shape, it is not seen as darkness, it is not seen as light, it is not seen as male or female, it is not seen as neuter, it is not seen as the nature of the three realms, it is not seen as the mind of gods, it is not seen as the mind of nagas. Likewise, it is not seen as the mind of yakshas, the mind of gandharvas, asuras, garudas, kinnaras, mahoragas, humans and non-humans, animals, pretas, hell-beings, and so on, it is not seen as the minds of sentient beings of different destinies. It is free from all thoughts and discriminations. Why is that? Whatever the nature of the mind is, that is the self-arisen wisdom of Vajrasattva, and that wisdom is the nature of space, because it is without nature. Again, the Lord of Lanka asked: Lord of Secrets, why is the mind of sentient beings the self-arisen wisdom of Vajrasattva?
