and not profound, and vast, and narrow, and stable, and changing, and sharp, and dull, and fast, and slow, most people hear the praises of self-nature in sequence and simultaneously, and they are not afraid of those, not moved, joyful and satisfied, and appear in various ways for the sake of happiness. The lifespan of those who live there is also short, and long, and immeasurable, and a hundred years and eighty-four thousand years. Enjoyment also changes as one thinks. There are also those who achieve with difficulty, and those who do not achieve. All have received prophecies. Whoever hears the name of Buddha Vajrasattva has already done things in front of many Buddhas. One will surely be born in the pure land of Vajrasattva. It has been blessed by the Buddhas. They are those who will surely enter the Mahayana. They are those who possess clairvoyance. They are surely those who will become Buddhas' sons. They are those who possess the eye of insight. Alas! Lord of Lanka, therefore the only Buddha of one Jambudvipa has passed into Nirvana. Likewise, all the emanation Buddhas of Vajrasattva, some have passed into Nirvana and some have not, after saying this, the mind of the body bodhisattva was completely pleased. The seventh chapter of the Great Sutra of the Collection of the Intentions of All Buddhas, the chapter on the complete arrangement of the miraculous manifestations of Vajrasattva. Then, the Lord of Lanka asked: Secret Lord, what exactly does Vajrasattva refer to? The Secret Lord said: Lord of Lanka, Vajrasattva refers to the mandala of the mind, the clear light, the nature of mantra, just as it is. The Lord of Lanka asked: Alas! Secret Lord, what does the mandala of the mind refer to? Likewise, what does clear light refer to? What does the nature of mantra refer to? What does 'just as it is, suchness' refer to? The Secret Lord said: Lord of Lanka, mind refers to that which is unmade, unaltered, and appears in various ways. Mandala refers to that bindu. Light refers to

Manifestation! "Clarity" means not obscured by anything other than ignorance. "Secret" means not an object of speech, not within the realm of expression. "Mantra" means speaking of the source of qualities. "Essence" means the basis for the arising of all things, without substance, invisible. "Thusness" means untransformed, uncorrupted. "Suchness" means uncreated, unestablished. "Reality" means not mistaken, unchanging. Again, the Lord of Lanka asked: What is meant by the Secret Lord's "unmade, unaltered"? What is meant by "various arising"? The Secret Lord replied: Lord of Lanka, because there is no maker, it cannot be sought through action, therefore it is "unmade." Because it is the basis of suchness, it is "unaltered." What is it that continuously arises from nothingness, going to different realms, being good, bad, or neither, arising in various ways? That is like the sky. Its continuous arising is like clouds, mist, rainbows, moisture, and so on. Again he asked: Secret Lord, why is it called Vajrasattva? He replied: Lord of Lanka, that reality as it is, in all things, has no antidote to anything, is without change, without arising or ceasing, that reality is the self-knowing of mind, from the Sandhinirmochana Sutra, miraculous transformations arise in various ways, because it destroys the very absence of things, it is called Vajrasattva. Lord of Lanka, that is also called the unsurpassed Bodhicitta. It is also called the Dharmata of all dharmas, suchness. It is also called the emptiness of mind. It is also called transcendence of extremes. It is also called the invisibility of the Middle Way. It is also called the essence of all Buddhas. It is also called the source of arising of all emanations. It is also called the virtuous friend of all Buddhas. It is also called the lamp of all realms. It is also called the source of arising of compassion and skillful means. It is also called the image appearance of all dharmas. Lord of Lanka, those are also established in that way for some purpose, but for reality itself, there is no name to be established, those should be understood as mere designations. Lord of Lanka!
