Reflections appear in clear water. Upon examining them, the actual objects are not there. Likewise, without any arrangement, That which clearly shines from the sky itself. Whatever appears here is that very thing, That very thing is without substance, free from grasping and conceptualization. Like the nature of a dream, When someone is overcome by sleep, In an instant, a moment, a short while, And for countless years and so on, Experiences of various joys and sorrows appear. Just as nothing is found upon awakening, In emptiness, there is nothing at all, However one may employ the distinctions of actions, Since one is not attached to actions, just as it is, Upon examination, it is free from all objects of focus. The nature of the arising of sound and images, With sound as the condition, in its own place, Thus, in that way, sound and images arise. That itself is arising from nothingness. The blessings of secret mantras, For what purpose do they arise from nothingness? From nothing at all, everything arises. The appearance of nothingness is seen as cause and attachment. Whatever here is like the nature of cataracts, Objects appear to someone with an eye disease, They merely appear on the face of delusion. Just as they appear, there is nothing at all. From the nature of emptiness, free from elaboration, Whatever miraculous displays appear, They merely appear as miracles themselves. Those appearances are nothing at all. From water, sky, and mist, Bubbles and clouds arise separately. With the nature of self-arising and self-subsiding, The water itself becomes clear as the sky itself. However many appearances and non-appearances there are, All of them arise from that very thing, Self-arising, self-nature, just as it is, It is certain to be purity itself. The dwelling of a Gandharva is uncertain, Wherever its form appears, The city also appears in the same way. In the arising itself, one cannot examine it there. The suchness of just as it is, Abiding, abiding, where does it abide? That itself appears as an immeasurable great palace. Appearance is like that, it is not truly existent. Like the nature of an illusion, From nothingness, from one, many arise. Whatever arises appears like a continuous wheel. The continuous arising of appearances does not cease. From the nature of inequality to equality, Just as it is, it arises, Whatever arises here does not cease continuously, For that, there is no exhaustion, no increase. Whatever image appears here, From face, facial expressions, and mist, Relying on them, the image arises in that way. That itself and those two are not different. Whatever here, cause and effect are separate, The cause itself is the effect, the effect itself is the cause. Therefore, in that, there are not those two. Suchness itself, that alone.

Oh! Therefore, all phenomena, in their suchness, are one. No matter what appears or arises, it does not originate from the unwavering nature. This profound secret is like the sky, difficult to fathom. Whoever lacks yoga, no matter how they contemplate, will not understand through contemplation. For example, the essence of the sun, if examined closely with the eyes, will not reveal its essence, but will dazzle the eyes with its blazing light. Similarly, foolish children, no matter how they contemplate the meaning of the essence, will not see the secret essence, but will only remain foolish children. Therefore, this sacred secret, although it cannot be fully expressed in words, is only mentioned slightly to yogis in order to dispel the confusion of those who are deluded. This inconceivable nature of reality should be maintained in a way that is free from thought. This inconceivable dharma, I have not shown to children. Because it transcends verbal expression, how can it be indicated with "this"? Because there is nothing, the object of indication cannot be found. For the un-indicatable dharma, there is no path of words. All dharmas are like the sky, and the sky has no characteristics. Just as the center and edge of the sky cannot be determined, all dharmas are free from edge, center, and limit. The name of the sky is spoken, and the speaking itself is the thing. Even if its name is spoken, the sky does not change. Whatever is said about this inconceivable dharma, the saying itself is conceptual thought. No matter how conceptual thought is spoken, duality does not change for it. Whoever thinks there is duality here, and distinguishes between center and edge, is mistaken. Even the term "equality" comes from duality and distinguishing between center and edge. Alas! This one dharma brother, although everything originates from it, duality is henceforth conceptual thought. Let everyone be certain of this! Friends, know that these should be examined like a mirror, and the sacred meaning should be contemplated with certainty. Having said this, the lords of Lanka and other bodhisattvas of inferior bodies were correctly established in samadhi. The sixty-third chapter, called "Brief Indication," from the Great Sutra that Gathers the Intentions of All Buddhas. End. Then, the lords of Lanka and other inferior and superior beings asked the Lord of Secrets about the ninth of the ten sutras listed here.
