All are conditioned, for they are unborn. Suchness (tathātā) pervades and spreads like a river. Effortless wisdom arises naturally and greatly. End of the eighth chapter. The owner of Lanka is this very one. The seven roots that are certain to be. If one examines it, understands it, then it is completely certain. Islands and mountains, including the surrounding areas, are clear from the peak of Mount Sumeru. If one finds it, all the names of vehicles, that great itself will clearly appear. The king of light of the world is the radiant and bright sun. All dharmas are completely clear, the great appearance of all is it. The great opportunity is space, like opening the four great elements. The secret gathering itself, clearly explains all the expressions that can be expressed. Whoever obtains the secret of the teachings, no one depends on others. If one understands all the essence of secrets, one does not need to search for any expression. The elements with continuity, arise and appear from the nature of space. Likewise, all the elements of expression, arise from that profound realm of reality. All the things that need to be done, eventually gather the accomplishment of the fruit. Although many vast words are spoken, all of them gather in suchness. The essence of a clear mirror, is like showing the image of a face. That mirror of dharma, clearly reveals the nature of all. The root of all is self-born, so the nature is unconditioned in any way. The wisdom that knows all does not perish, the light shines, and all directions can be seen. All are gathered in that very one, and exhausted in the nature of non-entity. In suchness all are one, so there is no name for dividing into two. The cause itself is originally complete in the result, so it is free from hope and fear, it is that only one. Because there is no entity to be abandoned, where would there be anything to be obtained? Already seen, already practiced, already done. Desire has been fulfilled, already enjoyed. Such things have been accomplished, that itself arises from attainment. All discriminations, all itself, appear in emptiness. By combining with all, one can accomplish benefit. Cutting off doubt, appearing harmonious. In short, there are only three selves. In reality, there are only two selves in the end. Certainly there is no more than one self. All are gathered here, and arise from here. If one knows the root of all, all are also unconditioned as they are. Suchness is the root of all. Wonder.

In Uma, all appearances lack inherent existence, Without attachment, the mind is not disturbed. The nature of space is without inherent existence, Beyond examination, it is free from substance. Apart from the essence itself, there is nothing else, Yet it appears continuously in various forms. Like a lamp illuminating and dispelling darkness, Like a wish-fulfilling jewel arising from itself. Without birth or cessation, it is free from fear, Uncertain in any way, it is not timid. If one attains realization, one is free from all effort, In the realm of understanding, there is no going. Each word of this great essence, Transmits the intention of all Buddhas. Even if one cuts off the three roots elsewhere, The secret meaning arises from itself. Whoever seeks something elsewhere, Has entered the path of delusion. Obscured by the darkness of conceptual thought, Whatever is ignorance is obscured. Conceptual thought itself is the obstacle, The obstacle arises from itself. If conceptual thought does not arise, Where is the so-called demon? If asked from where the demon arises, It always arises from effort. Without effort, the demon does not arise, Why is it that non-effort is the demon? Likewise, faults and delusions, Arise from seeing qualities as equal. If there is no equal seeing of qualities, Where are faults and delusions? That itself is faults and delusions, If that nature is not manifest. Even if one burns the secret meaning, Like a sick person burning medicine, it is useless. Without a definite method, one wanders in bad places. Objects, signs, and things, Memory, Thought, hearing, seeing, all that appears, Just as it moves in the mind, it appears that way for a moment. Constant, impermanent, momentary, Undecaying, uncreated, great bliss mind. Apart from the sphere of mind, Since there is nothing else, Where is there delusion? Who seeks delusion as a goal? How does one find delusion? Delusion itself is that sphere, Searching for it, it returns to that. Searching elsewhere, it arises from that, Looking, there is no seeing, no realization. Like a rainbow appearing in a dark cave, That is the difference of seeing. Whatever of the four activities one practices, It does not turn into bondage, but into a way of liberation. All are trained there, the supreme place of the path. Whoever seeks the traces of the real meaning, Wishing to completely cut off delusions, The yogi hero who eliminates extremes, Clinging to whatever side, Holds the view of the middle way.
