Therefore, it possesses five essential aspects of meaning. What are they? Meaning is the essence from which all Dharmas arise; meaning is the unmistakable, certain essence; meaning is the essence that transcends cause and effect; meaning is the essence of non-action; and meaning is the essence by which all Dharmas are established. These are the five. Therefore, for the self-arisen wisdom, there are five condensed sutras and agamas. The expanded sutras and agamas are these fifty-seven that were spoken. Alas! Great Bodhisattva, listen to this meaning! The All-Creating King, I, Bodhicitta, for one great self-arisen wisdom, from the five condensed self-arisen wisdoms, there are fifty-seven expanded sutras and agamas. My essence is fifty-seven. What is its essence like? From the essence of wisdom, the heart of Dharma, ten manifest sutras and agamas are also shown. From the unmistakable, certain essence of wisdom, ten unmistakable, certain sutras and agamas are also shown. From the essence of wisdom that transcends cause and effect, ten sutras and agamas that transcend cause and effect also arise. From the essence of wisdom that is without action, ten sutras and agamas of perfect non-action also arise. From the essence of wisdom that establishes, ten sutras and agamas that establish are also shown. From the five essences of mind-essence wisdom, five sets of ten sutras and agamas arise, which show the five confidences of the self-nature essence. Seven are the seven chapters that definitely show. One shows the basis, one shows the instruction, and five show the five individual necessities.
