Verse: The lord of men is called the truth of wisdom. Now, speaking of yoga and so on, it refers to the power of past yoga practice. If in this human world, yogis practice wisdom yoga, and those who have not attained yoga, with extremely agitated minds, sometimes die. In the rich and noble human world, they surpass the capable ones, meaning the lineage of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. Yoga means emptiness and compassion are inseparable, pure Suchness and pure mind. Because they possess that, they are called possessors of yoga, not that yoga is ultimately complete. Again, due to past habits, they are held and attained. Wisdom yoga means the yoga of Suchness, vast meaning not a small part, meaning all kinds. Having attained wisdom and completeness, they go to the endless excellent place, saying where is endless, that is the endless excellent place. Thus, distinguish. How is it like that? It is said, how is there rebirth again, meaning not having rebirth, that is the excellent place of all Buddhas. Now, speaking of wisdom and so on, it refers to the time when the wisdom of Buddhas, Asuras, and barbarians arises. Here, it is determined that there are three kinds of yoga practice, namely, that of Buddhas, Asuras, and sentient beings. Among them, the yoga of Buddhas means emptiness and the nature of compassion. The yoga of Asuras means discriminating dharmas. The yoga of sentient beings has two kinds, namely, permanence and cessation. Thus, delighting in the practice of yoga, there are three kinds of yogis who rely on it. Among them, during the day, the wisdom of the yogis of Buddhas arises. During the night, the wisdom of the yogis of Asuras arises. Apart from the four time intervals, the wisdom of the yogis of sentient beings arises. Here, the time division means the arising of wisdom, the sun of the victors, during the day, midnight, and the end of the night. The moon of the Asuras, during the night, midday, and the end of the day.

Where? From the time when beings are not spoken of, that is, the time when periods are abandoned. Here, at midnight or the time of early morning, the wisdom of the Buddhas will especially abide. At the time of noon or sunset, the wisdom of the Asuras will especially abide. Otherwise, between the four periods, the beings', that is, in the daytime part, the constant wisdom especially abides, and in the nighttime part, the annihilating wisdom especially abides. Like the number of these Buddhas and Asuras, it will become the true wisdom of the Buddhas. Those who are contrary to its Dharma will decline, and will become the Asuras'. True wisdom is like the appearance of daytime, seeing everything. Decayed wisdom is like the appearance of night, slightly seeing the death and life of sentient beings. How do you know? Therefore it is said, it comes from practicing the Dharma. Here, true wisdom and decayed wisdom, their words can be transformed into beautiful Sanskrit and ordinary language, that is, those who have arisen with true wisdom can skillfully use the nature of all speech sounds. Those who have arisen with decayed wisdom, then transform into ordinary language, caused by the difference of one place's language, one language, by the speakers. The wisdom of the Buddhas is to have the nature of compassion for all sentient beings, proclaiming peaceful actions. The wisdom of the Asuras is to harm animals for the sake of eating meat, proclaiming fierce actions. In the realm of the three existences, the wisdom of the Buddhas is to proclaim the actions of the individual himself. The wisdom of the Asuras is to proclaim ordinary actions on the earth. The wisdom of beings is to proclaim mixed actions on the earth. It is the determination to proclaim wisdom. Now, starting from "noon," etc., the time of eating of the Buddhas and Asuras, etc., is proclaimed. Here, each day and night, from noon to midnight is the time of day. From midnight to the end of noon is the time of night. In the time of day and night, the latter half of each time is the number.
