Fire and water, hail and famine, untimely death and bad dreams, inauspiciousness and the harm of suffering will all disappear. Even if an ominous sign occurs in that place, a great light will arise due to the blessings of the stupa and the Buddha. All ominous signs and inauspiciousness will be averted. If someone harbors evil thoughts, intending to cause harm through war and thieves, or if an enemy arises, a great light will emanate from the stupa in that place. Through the miraculous power of the Tathagata, flames blazing in all directions will manifest a rain of armies and weapons, thereby pacifying and repelling all enemy forces. The gods will also protect and guard, demarcating and protecting the area within a hundred yojanas in all four directions, so that strife, epidemics, and livestock diseases will not occur within it. There will be no fighting or disputes. Unrighteous conduct will cease to exist. Other secret mantras cannot cut off or suppress it, because it is the root of all secret mantras. Even if one makes a small stupa from clay and places these secret mantras inside, it is equivalent to building ninety-nine thousand stupas made of the seven precious substances. Furthermore, whoever circumambulates this stupa, prostrates to it, joins their palms, offers flowers, applies perfume, burns incense, or offers bells, banners, or umbrellas, it is equal to the merit of offering to ninety-nine thousand stupas of the Tathagatas. All roots of virtue will be perfected, and great glory, power, and strength will be obtained. Even if birds and bees, etc., are touched by the shadow of that stupa, the Tathagatas will know and care for them, and they will attain unsurpassed perfect enlightenment and abide in the irreversible ground. Furthermore, whoever dreams of such a stupa, or sees it from afar, or hears the sound of bells, or hears news of the construction of a stupa, all their sins and obscurations, including the five inexpiable sins, will be purified. They will always be protected and cared for by the Tathagatas, and they will attain the completely pure path of unsurpassed perfect enlightenment. This mantra is called the secret mantra of the life-force of the stupa.
