Whatever Dharma is, that is unborn and undying. Whatever is unborn and undying, that should be understood as being equal to space. The venerable son of Śāradvatī said: Son of good family, this explanation of Samadhi that you have taught is extremely profound, because even the sphere of activity of all Śrāvakas and Pratyekabuddhas is not in this, what need is there to mention worldly Tīrthikas and all opponents, this kind of Dharma is difficult for all those who have not generated roots of virtue and have little faith to understand, otherwise, this is only the realm of the Tathāgata's eye. And the Tathāgata's eye is without object and without abiding. After saying this, the lord of secrets, Vajrapāṇi, said this to the venerable son of Śāradvatī: Venerable son of Śāradvatī, the so-called Tathāgata is

Such is the nature of Thusness. What is the nature of Thusness is emptiness. What is emptiness, there is no Tathagata in it. There is no nature of Tathagata. Sharadvatiputra said: Son of lineage, if the Tathagata has no nature, how does he possess the thirty-two marks of a great man and is shown as the Tathagata, and his body is well adorned with eighty minor marks? How to view the establishment of the three bodies of the Tathagata? How does the Tathagata manifest complete enlightenment in unsurpassed perfect complete enlightenment? The Lord of Secrets, Vajrapani, said: Venerable Sharadvatiputra, the so-called thirty-two marks of a great man are words of conventional expression. The so-called adornment is the letters and sounds of elaboration. The so-called minor marks are the nature of illusion and dream. The so-called perfect complete enlightenment is the nature of the essence of space. The so-called establishment of the three bodies is the nature of the manifestation of the two accumulations. Venerable Sharadvatiputra, this is also the secret place of the body of the Tathagata, the so-called secret of the body is the nature of the corresponding cause of great merit. What is the corresponding cause of merit is the complete enjoyment body of the Tathagata, this is also the activity of the body of the Tathagata and the secret of the body. Venerable Sharadvatiputra, the so-called speech is the nature of the two, conventional and ultimate. What is the nature of the two, conventional and ultimate, is the manifestation body of the Tathagata. Understanding dependent origination without cessation, entering without permanence, entering through the path of mental consciousness, knowing that meditation should be practiced, without object, empty of all defilements and purification, not the realm of the body, not the realm of speech, not the realm of the self-nature of the mind, is the Dharmakaya of the Tathagata truly integrated into the realm of space.

The classification of the three bodies should be understood in this way. Venerable son of Sharadvati, furthermore, the secret of the Tathagata's body is the Dharmakaya. What is called Dharmakaya should be regarded as the Middle Way of all dharmas. What is called the Middle Way is neither arising nor ceasing. Whether the Tathagatas appear or not, this Dharmakaya always exists. Venerable son of Sharadvati, what is called "the cause of merit" belongs to the category of paramitas. What is called paramita should also be regarded as the cause of merit. Why is that? Venerable son of Sharadvati, what is called the Dana Paramita (Perfection of Giving) is to completely abandon both inner and outer things. What is called "outer" is a conventional term. What is called "inner" is an ultimate term. What is called "outer" is giving food to those who want food, giving drinks to those who want drinks, and similarly, giving male servants, female servants, hired workers, those who live on wages, elephants, horses, vehicles, land, heads, hands, feet, eyes, flesh, blood, marrow, fat, and even bones. This is also completely grasped by the Upaya Paramita (Perfection of Skillful Means), not expecting the complete dedication to ripen, being rich and vast, making it one's own enjoyment, and giving everything to all sentient beings, this is the outer. The inner is the Dharma giving. This also has two aspects: to correctly devote oneself to entering dependent origination, and the words of giving, the words of discipline, the words of patience, diligence, meditation, wisdom, skillful means, power, aspiration, and wisdom, and being completely grasped by compassion, the Upaya Paramita correctly gathers. Furthermore, the inner giving is to completely abandon the attachment to extreme views, the complete discrimination of arising and ceasing, various discriminations, the knower and the known, being completely grasped by joy, the Power Paramita correctly gathers, this is the Dharma giving. Whatever concerns body, speech, and mind
