Black Rope Hell, All-Burning Hell, Extremely Burning Hell, Difficult to Touch Hell, Fierce Hell, Sharp-Beaked Hell, Iron Cauldron Hell, Iron Rod Hell, Dark Place Hell, Head-Upward Hell, Squatting Hell, Grinning Hell, Constantly Extremely Burning Hell, Decaying Hell, Constantly Foul-Smelling Hell, Extremely Destroying Hell, Decisively Destroying Hell, Very Deeply Damaging and Destroying Hell—these are the hells where those non-deluded beings of Manjushri will be born. Then, the Bodhisattva Samantabhadra said to the Bhagavan: "Bhagavan, where will those Dharma speakers be born after they die from here?" The Bhagavan replied: "Samantabhadra, you have asked well. Samantabhadra, whether a son or daughter of good family, those Dharma speakers, after dying from here, will be born in the Buddha-field of the Bhagavan Tathagata, the Inconceivable Confidence, a world that is exceedingly adorned. In that world, there are only completely beautiful Bodhisattvas. At the time of death, twelve billion Buddhas will appear before that son of good family. Son of good family, in short, the benefits of that son of good family are countless and immeasurable, and even after a thousand kalpas, they cannot be described." The Bodhisattva Samantabhadra said: "Bhagavan, in the future, in the future time, what kind of beings will abandon these Dharma categories?" The Bhagavan replied: "Samantabhadra, those beings who will abandon these kinds of Dharmas will mostly be those who have gone forth. They will say: 'These are combinations of poetry; these are not spoken by the Tathagata. These are self-made; these sutras have never been heard before.' They will sneer and abandon these Dharma categories. After abandoning them, they will not confess or disclose them. Those who abandon the Dharma, at the time of death, will be born in the All-Burning Uninterrupted Hell. As soon as they are born, an iron wheel will cut off the heads of those non-deluded ones, causing them to fall to the ground."

Thus having become, for many eons, hundreds of thousands of eons, and thousands of thousands of eons, they will become blind. If, after hundreds of eons have passed, they are born as humans, they will be born blind in all lifetimes, and without tongues, facing backwards, hunchbacked, with sunken necks, lame legs, with voices like the barking of dogs, constantly afflicted by hunger and thirst, with emaciated bodies, foul breath, and all sentient beings will find them unpleasant to see or hear. Then, that entire retinue, endowed with all qualities, spoke with one voice: "Bhagavan, not knowing, we have abandoned such sutras, and we have looked upon those who speak the Dharma with angry minds, we confess our faults." "Bhagavan, how childish we have become, how deluded we have become, how corrupted our wisdom has become, how small-minded we have become, we confess and beseech, may the Buddhas, the Bhagavans, consider us." Then, those great Shravakas, Indra, Brahma, the protectors of the world, monks, nuns, laymen, and laywomen, were frightened and said: "Bhagavan, having heard such teachings as these, we are greatly frightened." The Bhagavan said: "Friends, it is just so. As you have said, you should be afraid. Friends, if I, who have attained the wisdom of omniscience, am afraid, what need is there to mention my disciples? Sons of good family, this Dharma is profound. It cannot be disturbed by humans, non-humans, gods, nagas, yakshas, or gandharvas, let alone by other shramanas or brahmins. Sons of good family, this Dharma teaching has become a stupa for the world with its gods. Sons of good family, just as the wish-fulfilling jewel, so too should this king of sutras be regarded." Then, Manjushri, the youth, said to the Bhagavan: "Bhagavan, this has been well spoken. O Bhagavan."

Venerable One, how can those monks fully digest the offerings given in faith? The Blessed One said: Manjushri, those who abandon this category of Dharma and generate unkindness towards those who preach the Dharma, even if they enjoy the offerings given in faith for just one day or one meal, or even if they throw saliva or ashes on the ground offered to the Sangha, I do not allow it. Then, the Venerable Sharadvatiputra said to the Blessed One: Venerable One, are the five inexpiable sins near or far from here? The Blessed One said: Sharadvatiputra, be quiet, do not ask such a question. Why? Sharadvatiputra, those who commit the five inexpiable sins will never be like those who abandon this supreme category of Dharma. Sharadvatiputra, those who commit the five inexpiable sins will quickly exhaust the five inexpiable sins and then be reborn as humans. Those who abandon the true Dharma will never attain the Buddha's teachings, because they will destroy themselves and destroy others. Then, the Venerable Sharadvatiputra said to the Blessed One in his presence: Alas! How miserable are the beings who abandon the true Dharma! May I never see such karmic obscurations even in my dreams! Third fascicle. Then, the Blessed One said to the Venerable Sharadvatiputra: Sharadvatiputra, do not think like that. The Dharma I have taught is inherent, and the world is the master of karma, enjoying the fruits of its own karma, and its own karma is stable. Beings experience suffering according to their own karma, and the Tathagata cannot prevent it. Sharadvatiputra, I have taught the path to goodness, the path to happiness, the path to fearlessness, the path to Nirvana, and the path to immortality. However, these beings are endowed with evil deeds of body, evil deeds of speech, and evil deeds of mind, and they slander the noble ones.
