Who has spoken of the deeds of those great beings? Those heroes are beyond all examples, they control such liberation. Possessing supreme wisdom, endowed with vast wisdom, possessing unerring wisdom, possessing boundless wisdom, possessing supreme knowledge, possessing extraordinary wisdom, in this way they have explained those supreme paths of liberation. Whoever hears these supreme paths of liberation, generates faith, and proclaims them to the world, they possess wondrous and extraordinary Dharma. In this joyful human world, those who have faith in such Dharma are rare among the assemblies of individual beings. Those who have accumulated virtue and merit, they have faith in this through the power of their karma. Those who only believe in the Hearer Vehicle are few in the human world. Therefore, the Solitary Realizer Vehicle is even rarer. The Great Vehicle is even rarer than that. Entering the Great Vehicle is rare, and having faith in this Dharma is even rarer. What need is there to mention entering and upholding it? What need is there to mention practicing it accordingly? Even if some were to carry the three thousand worlds with their mountains and oceans on their heads until the end of the kalpa, the difficulty of having faith in this Dharma is such that such a thing does not exist. Even if some were to attend to beings as numerous as the dust of the three thousand worlds with all pleasures for a kalpa, the merit of having faith in this Dharma is such that such extraordinary merit does not exist. Even if some were to hold ten realms with their mountains and oceans in the palms of their hands for a kalpa, the difficulty of having faith in this Dharma is such that such a thing does not exist. Even if some were to attend to beings as numerous as the dust of ten realms with all virtues for a kalpa, the merit of having faith in this Dharma is such that such extraordinary merit does not exist. Even if some were to attend to Buddhas as numerous as the dust of ten realms with all pleasures for a kalpa, the merit of holding this chapter of Dharma is more excellent than that. When those paths of liberation are explained in detail, all the realms of the ten directions are shaken. The abodes of the Maras become dim, and a great sound is emitted, completely pacifying the lower realms. All the lions among men in the ten directions have revealed their faces, and

Merely acting, possessing limitless qualities, May goodness and auspiciousness be placed upon the head. Having caressed the head with the palm of the hand, These liberations are well-spoken, how excellent! "After you have well-taught, we are all delighted," Thus spoke all those Buddhas. Thereafter, the Bhagavan, having spoken these verses, became silent. Thereafter, in this realm of the three-thousand great-thousand world system, all the gods who dwell therein, and all the humans and non-humans, said, "The Tathagata has spoken well." Alas! The Tathagata has turned this second wheel of Dharma. This teaching of the Dharma has not been heard before. Those sentient beings who will obtain this category of Dharma are exceedingly rare, for those sentient beings do not possess meager roots of virtue. Those sentient beings have paid homage to many Buddhas. Those sentient beings, together with the gods, together with the demons, together with Brahma, will become like stupas in the world. They cannot be harmed by demons, or by the gods of the demon's retinue, or by the ordained, or by the householders, or by the kings, or by the great ministers, or by the householders." Thus, they raised sounds of clamor and uproar. Then, the venerable Subhuti said to the Bhagavan, "Bhagavan, such a sutra treasure is difficult to find in the world. However, by the power of the Tathagata, such a Dharma has arisen in the world, and by the power of the Tathagata, those sentient beings have also heard it." Then, the Bhagavan extended his tongue and said to the venerable Ananda, "Ananda, you should hold this category of Dharma, recite it, master it, and make it completely understood." Then, the venerable Ananda circumambulated the Bhagavan three times and said, "Bhagavan, I have received this category of Dharma, and hereafter I will not abandon it." Its retinue, as well as the noble Bodhisattva Samantabhadra, Manjushri Kumara, the venerable Sharadvatiputra, other great Shravakas, gods, humans, asuras, gandharvas, and the world rejoiced, praising the words of the Bhagavan. Thus concludes the Dharma category called "The Noble Jewel Banner Dharani". It was translated, edited, and finalized by the Indian Abbot Surendrabodhi and the Lotsawa Bande Yeshe De of Zhuchen.
