Let's draw the lines! Whatever land appears in the examination of the house's foundation, it is the same as the determination of the land. Then, whatever the Lama is capable of, request the noble Sangha to teach the Dharma. Or, by the one appointed by the Lama, the disciples request to teach the Dharma. If it cannot be fulfilled, then by the one appointed by the Sangha, the Bhikshu gives the Dharma teaching. Or, make offerings to the Buddha, and also give wealth to the Sangha. Together with the Lama and the disciples, remembering the King of Wrathful Deities, bathe in the afternoon according to the Dharma with amla and so on. After bathing, be clean and wear white clothes, possessing all kinds of items, with a heart full of love, go to the place of the Mandala. The Lama gathers all the people, abandoning all evil views. For all those who draw the Mandala, the Lama must make them wise. First, on the foundation of the Mandala, smear with cow dung mixed with cow urine, then sprinkle with fragrant water. Around the land, drive stakes and do, in order to make the mind arise faith, scatter flowers. Surround with thread, adorn with banners and flags. Hang strings of beads, display auspicious rituals. Then, on the northern side, pile up all the items. Protected by the King of Wrathful Deities, the wise should rejoice. After sweeping the place and dispelling the obstacles, oneself and the Mandala, first of all, must be protected, combined with auspicious omens, generate a heart of faith, and when the time is ripe, begin at dusk. Even if auspicious omens do not appear, do not be discouraged, after prostrating to the Three Families, slowly and well begin. If bad omens appear, and they appear continuously, then there will be no accomplishment, at that time do not begin. Or, in order to pacify these, on the burning Yama wood fire, use one hundred and eight portions of ghee made from cow's milk, perform a fire offering for pacification. For the Tathagata family, pacify with the Buddha Eye Mother. For the Padma family, use the Famous Mother. For the Vajra family, use Mamaki Buddha Mother. For the common of the Three Families, use Vidya.
