Facing outward towards the east, with the mind focused on the pure mandala, one should recite the heart mantra or secret mantra, and observe the various signs. As long as some good signs appear, one should concentrate and diligently recite with one mind. Seeing these, the wise will rejoice. Therefore, by reciting the secret mantra that accomplishes all actions, or by the mantra that I recite, one should properly apply protection. Alternatively, in general, to dispel all obstacles, one can recite the vajra kila, diligently practice, with great effort, the wrathful deity's nectar fire offering, and at the beginning recite the vajra, using the kila, fence, and net, the wise should practice as in the ritual. Or recite the root protection mantra, or recite its heart mantra. For the disciples, recite with the mind, and protect as before. After doing the protection, afterwards, the wise should enter the mandala. After entering, holding the offering vessel, one should also offer the offerings. The offering vessel can be made of gold, silver, or copper, crystal, gemstone, or white conch shell, or made of wood or stone. Conch shell or leaves, branches, or fish skin, or pomegranate bowl, one should take the ones with undamaged branches and leaves, and wash them clean. There, put in the flowers of the wrathful deity's recitation, lay them flat, and after reciting the secret mantra of the mandala seven times, as before, with fragrant water, respectfully offer the offerings. After offering to the center of the mandala, sprinkle the remainder to other places. Sweep and purify all the mandalas, and then perform this ritual. The black vase has no cracks, has a good shape, the color is very red, new, without damage, without cracks, the shape is upright and round. Recite seven times, fill it with fragrant water, fill it with various grains, also fill it with medicines, and fill it with various jewels. The neck is wrapped with new silk, decorated with various flower garlands. Decorate the mouth with good branches, put in auspicious fruits, fill it with fruits, flowers, and sesame. Anoint with incense, and fumigate with incense. Everything is complete with auspiciousness.
