The rituals are different, starting from the first day of the waxing moon. Eat three white foods as food. Take two portions of yogurt or one ounce of small cardamom or long pepper, and recite. Bathe three times, change clothes three times, sleep on a mat of kusha grass, recite eight hundred times three times, make offerings to the Bhagavan Vajrapani, and finally fast for three days. On the full moon, fast for one day, and light a fire in a hearth shaped like a vajra made of cow dung.
