In the east, draw the wrathful deity, as well as the youth and the mother goddess. In the south, draw Vishnu, the sun and moon, and Brahma. In the west, draw Yama, and Katyayani's daughter, the fierce mother. In the north, draw the goddess Shri, and likewise, the goddess Saraswati. All these deities should be drawn as described. Surround the area with bird-beak bottles tied with cords, and place them at the doorways as well. In the center, place a pestle with strands of hair. To the south of the kusha grass, draw a vajra. The deities should also be depicted with their weapons. The wrathful deity should be drawn with a trident. The youth should be drawn with a short spear. The mother goddesses should be drawn with fangs. Vishnu should be drawn with a wheel. The moon and sun should be drawn with bows. Brahma should be drawn with a sphere and a water pot. Yama should be drawn with a club. The others should be drawn with ordinary weapons. The firewood should be thoroughly kindled, using firewood in sets of eight. Seek out the food of the deities, fragrances, incense, and tormas, and invite the deities. This fire offering should be made with honey, ghee, rice, parched barley, salt, and mustard seeds. Use mustard seeds for protection. Wear clean clothes. First make offerings, and then begin the work beneath it. Whatever exists in the world, bind it with oaths. Whoever keeps such vows, all evil spirits will find no opportunity, and their actions will be accomplished. With faith in the Three Jewels, first see the mandala, and then practice the supreme wisdom beneath it. If anyone acts otherwise, their vajra will bring them to an end. The ritual of the mandala is complete. The practice of supreme wisdom is as follows: For one month, drink only milk, and then from the essence of ghee for fourteen days, fast for three days. Wear clean clothes and make offerings to a stupa containing relics, or an image of the Buddha, or a Bodhi tree, or the Bhagavan Vajrapani, offering as much as one is able. The female messengers offer incense, flowers, incense, and tormas. Then make an iron sword, surrounded by ten women adorned with all sorts of ornaments, in the sky...
