The Four Great Kings spoke the ritual of the Bhagavati. By merely remembering this vidya queen, all obstacles will become rigid. In this world, there are those who do not know the beginning or the end, those who do not possess Dharma, those with sinful minds, those with little wisdom, those who kill living beings, those who are fierce and ugly, those who are weak, those who are crooked, those who are hunchbacked, those with thick shins, and others like crow's shins, short and fat ones, like deer, like female yaks, like black yaks, those with yellowish hair, ugly nails, voices like crows, and also others like pot-bellied ones, impure ones, and others afflicted by diseases. These people cannot accomplish the vidya as described above. By the truth of our words, how can we exhaust past karma and then practice vidya? Whether they are old, crippled, blind, hunchbacked, or crooked, and so on. Again, the image of the Bhagavati Sugata made of white sandalwood should be placed at a height of one cubit. A painter who observes the uposatha should draw it with unmixed colors. Then, he should invite her to sit by the seashore, bathe three times a day, eat alms, and burn gugul incense. Recite twenty hundred thousand times, offer it to the deity. When the recitation is complete, perform eight hundred fire offerings of gugul and kunzika, presided over by the Bhagavati.
