If you want to practice, do not do minor actions, but go to a secluded place and rely on a river flowing into the sea, or the seashore, or the banks of the Ganges, or the banks of other great rivers. Clean the clean place, take three baths, change clothes three times, and observe silence. Eat begged food, or leaves, or barley porridge, or milk and fruit, and recite 110 million times. Noble Avalokiteśvara will also become a spiritual friend. There are other methods for accomplishing the task. After extreme asceticism, going to the end, abiding especially, entering a great monastery that is without commotion and separated from commotion. In a place where there is a great lotus lake, with water, climbing to the summit of that mountain that relies on one mountain. Offering the scents and flowers, etc., of the vidyas, as they desire. Eating milk or barley flour, lotus roots and fruits, eating milk products, one should recite ten hundred thousand vidyas. At the end of the recitation, also place the painted scroll with the same ritual as previously shown. Adorning the lotus flower with white sandalwood and saffron, lighting a fire of acacia wood, one should perform thirty-six thousand fire offerings with the lotuses that were previously completely adorned. Thereafter, the Bhagavan Shakyamuni Buddha again spoke of the supreme action of accomplishment: In this King of Contemplation, after fully upholding the root mantra, enter the Ganges River, abide upon a boat, and in the middle of the Ganges, drink milk and water, and for thirty thousand days and nights, recite as desired. Thereafter, at the end of the recitation, all Nagas will be seen. Then begin the practice, and in the middle of the boat, create a fire altar in the shape of a lotus. Then, with Naga Kesara and other flowers, make extensive offerings to the painted image. The main deity of the painted image should be placed facing west, and oneself facing east, sitting on a cushion of Kusha grass. Upon each Naga Kesara flower, make seven clear praises, and then ignite the fire with sandalwood. With Naga Kesara flowers mixed with white sandalwood and saffron, perform a fire offering up to one hundred thousand times. If other Nagas are seen, one should not take the substances of accomplishment that are bound, because they are extremely attached. From what is done at the end of the fire offering, one will fly together with the Naga's boat. One will become the king of the Vidyadharas. All the sovereign kings of the Nagas will also follow, abiding like servants. One will live for thirty intermediate kalpas. One will enjoy freely. There will be no obstruction in going. One will directly see the Holy Avalokiteshvara, who will touch one's crown. With just a touch, one will become five kinds of super-knowing.
