and obtain. Those who wish to be born in the Buddha's realm should bathe well and be clean on the first day of the waxing moon. Abide in the eight precepts. Starting from the eighth day, in the place blessed by the Tathagata, offer incense, flowers, banners, canopies, and full vases to that place and the preacher. Then, bathe well, wear clean white clothes, and offer flowers, incense, fragrances, flower garlands, and various perfumes, and write the scriptures. When copying, every day, share the roots of virtue with all sentient beings. Hold the guru and respectful mind to the Tathagata, and have loving-kindness, compassion, and compassion for all sentient beings. Copy for half a day. From the eighth to the fifteenth, offer in the same way every day. If you copy according to this ritual, you will immediately purify all karmic obscurations and sins, including the five inexpiable sins, and the roots of virtue will increase, and diligence will increase. In this life, you will also get physical happiness. Greed, hatred, ignorance, arrogance, anger, jealousy, and stinginess will become thin. After having someone copy it, also in the place of the stupa where the relics are enshrined, place the image and relics of the Tathagata, and the image and relics of Avalokiteshvara, facing east, and make extremely extensive offerings with flowers, incense, fragrances, and lights. From the eighth to the fifteenth, one should generate great compassion for all sentient beings, eat clean white food, abide in the eight precepts, abide in the eight precepts, have a trustworthy friend, and completely abandon arrogance, anger, jealousy, and stinginess. Make great offerings every day, and recite one hundred and eight times in three periods.
