凡是如是念诵之人，因具大悲心，不久将现证圆满正觉，应如是知。若为一切有情众生念诵，令其入耳，使其成为菩提之因，则彼等有情将获得无量无边之功德，难以言说。若有人一心一意，身心修持，安住于戒律，忏悔一切有情众生往昔之业障，并坦白忏悔自己从无量劫以来所造之各种罪业，口中迅速念诵此陀罗尼，音声不断绝，则于此生即可获得四沙门果。若根器敏锐，具足智慧，善于禅修之方便，则获得十地之果位亦不困难。更何况是世间福报所成熟之微小利益，亦能轻易成就，更不用说了。此乃菩萨之大悲心与愿力甚深，且此陀罗尼之加持力甚为广大之故。世尊告阿难曰：若有地方发生灾难，彼时该地之国王应以正法治理国家，安顿百姓。不应宰杀有情，应救护受苦之人，日夜精进，持诵大悲心陀罗尼咒。如此，该地之灾难与魔障皆可消除，五谷丰登，人民安乐。又若他方敌军屡次侵扰，百姓不安，或大臣阴谋叛乱，或发生瘟疫，或发生大旱，或日月运行失常等灾难，此时，具足大悲心之千眼

Those who recite it in this way, because they possess great compassion, will soon realize perfect and complete enlightenment, know this. If you recite it for the sake of all sentient beings, let it be heard in their ears, and make it a cause for enlightenment, then those beings will obtain immeasurable and incalculable merits, which are beyond words. If someone single-mindedly cultivates body and mind, abides in discipline, confesses all the past karmic defilements of all sentient beings, and confesses and repents the various sins he has committed since countless kalpas, and quickly recites this Dharani from his mouth, without interruption of sound, then in this life he will obtain the four fruits of a renunciate. If one is sharp-witted, endowed with wisdom, and skilled in the means of meditation, then obtaining the fruit of the ten bhumis will not be difficult. What need is there to mention that even the small benefits that ripen from worldly merit will be easily accomplished? This is because the great compassion and aspiration of the Bodhisattva are very profound, and the blessings of this Dharani are very vast. The Blessed One said to Ananda: If a disaster occurs in a certain place, then the king of that place should govern the country with the true Dharma and settle the people. One should not kill sentient beings, one should protect those who are suffering, and one should be diligent day and night, reciting the Great Compassion Heart Dharani mantra. In this way, the disasters and hindrances of that place can be eliminated, the five grains will be abundant, and the people will be happy. Furthermore, if enemy troops from other places repeatedly invade and harass the people, or if a great minister conspires to rebel, or if there is an epidemic, or if there is a great drought, or if the sun and moon move abnormally, or other such disasters occur, then at this time, the thousand-eyed one who possesses great compassion

造像之后，面向那个方向，以香、花、幡、幢、各种珍宝华盖，以及具有百味的饮食来一心供养。此外，那位国王若能在七日之内，身心精进，念诵这个丰富的陀罗尼之词，那么敌方的仇敌们也会自然调伏，然后各自返回，各自如法地治理自己的国家，国家也能安稳地存在，他们会以慈爱之心互相看待。王子和大臣们也会行使侍奉和正直。妃嫔和侍女们也会侍奉和恭敬国王。天、龙、鬼神们也会守护和治理那个国家。雨水按时降落，谷物丰收，民众也会非常高兴。此外，如果家中遇到严重的疾病，或者出现各种不祥之兆，或者鬼神和邪恶的魔扰乱家庭，或者恶人诽谤、偷盗、施害，或者家中大小内外不和，那么在具有大慈悲的千眼像前，制作坛城，一心忆念菩萨观世音自在，念诵此陀罗尼咒语满一千遍，那么以上所说的那些不好的事物都会完全消除。世尊，具寿阿难陀禀告说：世尊，此明咒叫什么名字？应如何受持？世尊开示说：阿难陀，此明咒有各种名称，也叫做广大圆满，也叫做无碍大悲，也叫做救脱诸苦的陀罗尼，也叫做延寿的陀罗尼，也叫做清净恶趣的陀罗尼，也叫做摧灭业障的陀罗尼，也叫做圆满诸愿的陀罗尼。

Having made an image, face it in that direction, and with incense, flowers, banners, canopies, various precious canopies, and food and drink with a hundred flavors, offer with one-pointed mind. Furthermore, if that king exerts diligence in body and mind for seven days, reciting this rich Dharani word, then the enemies of the enemy will be naturally subdued, and then they will return separately, each governing their own country according to the Dharma, and the country will also be able to exist peacefully, and they will look at each other with loving hearts. The princes and ministers will also practice service and uprightness. The concubines and maids will also serve and respect the king. The gods, nagas, and demons will also protect and govern that country. Rain will fall on time, and the grains will be abundant, and the people will be very happy. Furthermore, if a serious and intractable disease is encountered in the home, or various inauspicious omens occur, or ghosts and evil demons disturb the family, or evil people slander, steal, and inflict harm, or the family members, large and small, are discordant inside and out, then in front of the image of the thousand-eyed one with great compassion, make a mandala and with one-pointed mind remember the Bodhisattva Avalokiteśvara, reciting this Dharani mantra a full thousand times, then all those bad things mentioned above will be completely eliminated. The Blessed One, the venerable Ananda, said this: Blessed One, what is the name of this vidya-mantra? How should it be received? The Blessed One said: Ananda, this vidya-mantra has various names, it is also called "Great Perfection", it is also called "Unobstructed Great Compassion", it is also called "The Dharani that Saves from All Suffering", it is also called "The Dharani that Extends Life", it is also called "The Dharani that Purifies the Lower Realms", it is also called "The Dharani that Destroys Karmic Obscurations", it is also called "The Dharani that Fulfills All Wishes".

也称为地。也称为随心自在的心咒。也称为迅速超越上地的心咒。应当如是受持。具寿阿难陀向薄伽梵请问说：薄伽梵，这位菩萨摩诃萨叫什么名字？如何善于开示如是之咒？薄伽梵告言：善男子，此菩萨名为观自在，也名不空绢索，也名具千光明眼。善男子，此菩萨观自在的名号、威光及威力不可思议。于过去无量劫前，已现证圆满正等觉，号为如来应正等觉正法光明。然以大悲及愿力，为利益有情故，示现菩萨之身。菩萨摩诃萨的众多眷属，汝等与梵天、帝释天、诸天及龙等，当恭敬尊重，勿轻蔑之。诸天及人等，应恒常供养，一心称名，则能获得无量福德，无量罪业得以清净，命终之后，亦得往生无量光如来刹土。薄伽梵告言：阿难陀，若欲成就圆满富饶的种种珍宝，当供养如意宝珠之手。若为种种不适所恼，当供养持绢索之手。若腹中有病，当供养持宝钵之手。若欲调伏一切邪魔，当供养持宝剑之手。若欲调伏一切天子魔，当供养持金刚杵之手。若欲摧伏他方怨敌，当供养持金刚槌之手。若欲从一切怖畏战栗之处解脱，当供养

It is also called earth. It is also called the mantra that is free to follow the mind. It is also called the mantra that quickly transcends the upper grounds. It should be held in this way. The Venerable Ananda asked the Blessed One, saying: Blessed One, what is the name of this Bodhisattva Mahasattva? How can one be skilled in teaching such a mantra? The Blessed One said: Son of good family, this Bodhisattva is also called Avalokiteshvara, also called Amoghapasha, also called the one with a thousand bright eyes. Son of good family, the name, glory, and power of this Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara are inconceivable. In the past, immeasurable kalpas ago, he had already manifested complete perfect enlightenment, and his name was Tathagata, Arhat, Samyak-sambuddha, Light of the True Dharma. However, due to great compassion and the power of vows, for the sake of benefiting sentient beings, he manifested the body of a Bodhisattva. The many retinues of the Bodhisattva Mahasattva, you and Brahma, Indra, the gods, and the nagas, etc., should respectfully honor and not despise him.
